Great trail for a good workout steep ascent if you take the harder route! Lots of fun!

great trail in wakefield! For a good workout!

Amazing vue of the Outaouais region on the top! Beautiful trail!

My favourite hiking trail in the Ottawa area. Beautiful in the fall!

Vue époustouflante
Accessible pour la majorité

My favorite trail in the Gatineau park. You can do the loop twice since it’s short, but it’s a good workout because of all the stairs.

Really great hike today ! Get your crampons out ! Still a lot of ice on trails ! Weather was perfect !

I agree with the other reviews - pretty simple trail, usually lots of visitors, etc. But it is easy to get to and nice for a Sunday afternoon walk in nature. And right next to it is the little village of Old Chelsea which has a pub, some restaurants with outdoor patios, a new ice cream parlour and a bakery with excellent local bread (if any is left when you get there).

Stunning hiking even with a cloudy sky! We didn't have snowshoe and some part was a little bit hard but we completed all the trail. I definitly recommand it :)

Mount Victoria wasn't open yet

Fantastic condition with an great view at the summit !

Fait 27 mars 2018,sentier peu fréquenté, crampons requis

Don't need snowshoes this time of year. Winter hiking boots are adequate. When starting from P13, after about 15 minutes there'll be a fork in the trail. Take Mahinga trail which will eventually ascend. The trail path follows close to the edge, allowing for some wonderful vistas along your route.

Great Hike.
This time of year you don't need snowshoes. There are handful of steep ascent and descent, so you may need hiking poles for traction. Or you can old school and walk along the snow adjacent to the trail for more traction when ascending or descending.

Excellent and challenging trail for year round hiking or snowshoeing in the winter.

A great hike and workout!

Great winter trail

Belle petite montagne avec deux points de vue au sommet. En hiver, le début de la trail est difficile à trouver.

Did this trail in winter. You have to walk on the road for 5km before climbing on the trail. It give you nice views!
Did it until rhe first point of view and then go back down.
If you have some energy continue until km18 and go back from the trail on the orher side of the river!
19.5 km in 5h30! Great experience!

I recently discovered a passion for hiking and this trail is only a few minutes from my house. Have been there 5 times in the last 3 weeks. In winter at least, the trail is over 11 km long to the tain tracks (pont de fer). Nice place by the water for a break. People walk and snowshoe there. Trail crampons are highly recommended. Poles are not necessary. People DO walk their dogs off leash so please keep this in mind if you are afraid of dogs. Beautiful scenery.
The parking is up the hill from the dam on the Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel side. Have fun.

A MUST if you're a bird lover like me. You can get really close to thousands of northern gannets.

As for the hike itself, it is easy.
