my review may change after my next attempt. only so much of the trail is marked/beaten down/clear enough. but it is such a beautiful spot to hike next to the water with many spots to dip your feet in. lots of area to explore, with some nice elevation gains. my first recording is only up to the point of uncertainty and to where we needed better gear to hike through further.

Lovely spot to hike in the summer or fall.

Nice trail. Well groomed. Not likely as good now (winter) as would be in summer. PC marks the longer loop as moderate, but the whole thing is easy. No actual critters. Lots of tracks in a fresh dusting of snow though.

Well maintained easy little walking trail. Could bring a stroller or a wheelchair for sure. Lots of traffic on the day we went, but it was a Sunday and it was beautiful out!

I enjoyed this trail quite a bit. Easy, laid-back walk with plenty to look at and photograph, including a walk through a wind farm and a look at the remains of Elephant Rock. The ugly dirt road that runs through the middle of it can be a distraction, but otherwise it’s a well-done and informative trail.

Short walk, a few viewpoints and informative signs, very easy jaunt in the woods.

Dog friendly trail and nice and open. Bugs can get a bit much in the heat of the summer, but all in all we loved it

We rode this trail when visiting PEI in July. Fun trail. A lot of trees down. With a little clean up would be a really fun ride.

We love this trail with our 4 daughters aged 3 to 9. the trail does get narrow in places, and some areas have large drop offs, but we have been hiking for a while and feel our kids can hike it safely enough. Our last visit resulted in hives on one daughters hand, but she couldn't pin point what she touched when they started, we will be keeping an eye on that section of trail in the future. They enjoy going to the park at the end. The big level rises and falls with the weather conditions, but they haven't been terrible. Some beautiful views, awesome bridges, and we've found a spot where we enjoy cooling off in the water near the end of the hike!

Nice easy trail with our 4 daughters aged 3 to 9. We usually hike more challenging areas, but the kids enjoyed seeing other people out too! I think they were starting to think we were the only ones who hiked! Today proved them wrong as we passed dozens of hikers and bikers and furry friends too! Trail was cleared nice and wide, allowing for shade and a breeze helping keep the bugs minimal.

Very easy trail with smooth and well maintained path.

Fantastic for families and a great walk- lots of verity in the scenery . I did come right up at a coyote two times so be mindful :)

Petite balade sans difficultés. Des belles ouvertures sur la Baie.

Randonnée courte et facile mais agréable ! Un beau final sur les dunes !

Nice easy walk. Very pretty. Floating bridge was neat and the beach at the end is pretty special. Took less than an hour round trip (walking at a fast pace).

Very family-friendly trail. Most of the trail has no shade so be sure to bring water and sunblock. Pretty big tourist attraction. The dunes and the floating bridge are definitely worthwhile

Trail was ok but alot of plants could cause burns if broken

Nice wooded trail system that follows the Boughton River. Several loops totalling 8.9km but can make your trip shorter if desired. A few small hills but not too strenuous, good hike for all skill levels. There were some mosquitos after the rain last night so might need bug spray depending on your timing. Definitely worth the visit.
