trail running

Beautiful overgrowth green trail with a few small inclines throughout. Ran on a May morning around 8. Barely anyone on it.

Very beautiful trails , easy to walk
A little confusing at first as to where the loop is , trail forks off into many directions

don't recommend it if there has been a heavy rain as there are plenty of places that become very difficult to pass through (muddy or pools of water) but it is a beautiful trail otherwise with lots of variety of terrain and trees when it's a bit drier outside and you can easily do 4 or 5km on all the little side trails

Pretty forest and river but the lack of poop and scoop kinda wrecks it. Have walked this trail many many times and the dog crap everywhere gets worse each year.

Did a few loops very easy to walk

One of our favs

Good trail conditions, some muddy spots. Took the boardwalk trail which is missing half the boards due to rot, so a very muddy hike. Found out when we came out the boardwalk trail is closed, however, no signage on the trail to indicate this. Check the map at the kiosk in the parking lot.

Pretty short paved path. Wasn’t bad but there really wasn’t much too it
Also I parked at east side Mario’s but I feel like it would have been easier to park at manuallife because that’s where the entrance is

Nice trail back half hilly . There is lots of dogs off the leash and lots of dog

Beautiful cross country skiing today. The car GPS understands that 1822 Spragues Rd Cambridge is the parking lot, though there are two lay-bys at trail heads on the other side of the park on Beke Rd.

Easy light trail for a walk.. . chickadees feed by hand in winter

I Have been here dozens of times. A great place for a relatively short hike that covers different terrains. Take a small Ziploc bag of bird feed and feed the birds right out of your hand. There are a few places to sit down as well.

Have hiked this many times. It’s an easy flat trail up to the bridge, and after the bridge there’s usually very few people. That’s also where you’ll have a chance to spot birds on the Grand River. After the bridge the trail becomes narrower, muddier, and rootier.

Someone has fixed the starting location in All Trails. It’s correct now (from the huge parking lot behind Block Three Brewing). You can go much further than the highway 85 bridge shown on the map. Trail crosses private land through various farmers fields (please ensure gates close) and comes out at University Ave.

Bit of a short hike for backpacking . This a heavily glaciated area with some ups and downs . This one can be strung together with other short hikes in this area . This can make enough distance for a days outing . The usual bugs and ticks are present so trousers with boots on this one . Regular users don't seem to like backpackers , viewing us with contempt and making rude comments . These are the same people letting their dogs crap all over the trail and oh , not picking it up ! We just smile , wave and keep on trekking !

This tract can be very busy . It used to have a nice board walk but it fell into disrepair and was closed last time I was there . It illustrates the glaciation that has occurred in Ontario during the last ice age . Very nice forest cover with lots of dog crap . Of greatest interest is that this forest is part of the Grand Valley trail system . As a long distance backpacker it is a nice break from the road sections . You can connect to the Dryden Tract via the GVT to make for a longer more enjoyable hike . There is a lot of people and dog crap at Dryden too ! Enjoy !!

Free parking lot. A very nice and easy trail walk. There are some wooden walkways that you can stand on and feed chickadees from, right out of your hand so bring a small bag of seed, There are a few benches throughout that you can sit down and just relax. The far end of the loop goes around a big pond, quite often there are geese and ducks around. There are some inclines and declines mostly at the beginning and end so you want to make sure you are wearing proper footwear.

We were a little confused about where to park and how to access the trail, but once we figured it out it was quite enjoyable.

Small but beautiful. Great trails to run or hike on. Conveniently located in the city.

this is an ok trail - needs to be maintained better as the trail has very narrow/washed out areas which could result in injury (things to look out for: large farmers field rocks, all kinds of horse poop on the trail, deep mucky paths, thick woody weeds blocking the path, all kinds of unleashed dogs - on the non leash free areas, etc).

Great trail!

A trail to walk, not a spot to hike. But the scenery is beautiful, especially in the fall. Awesome spot for photography!

We did this trail yesterday and at first we thought this isn't the trail for us but then it opens up to beautiful green space and walking through the woods we enjoyed it very much. Was a nice trail to do with kids and it wasn't too busy.

We drove to this trail to the access points and there is no parking. Looked very busy and just a paved path. Not what we were looking for.
