There are two big hill to go up. The one with the wide steps is awkward to climb. Difficult if you are 86 years old.

Nice stroll, not many people.

Fairly decent paved trail

heavy traffic. flat surface

I'd recommend parking along Lakeshore just west of High Park. Pay parking lot in the summer. Nice view of the skyline. Super easy multi-use trail, gets very busy in the summer. Dog friendly. Lots of water and beach access. I bring my grandfather for walks here for something easy to do.

Was in construction.

Lovely trail. I like how it varies from old forest to fields with flowers, flats to hills. I wasn’t expecting to hike up the old ski hill but loved doing it! I hiked back along the river and a good part of that trail is sort of falling in to the river. Signs said that part was closed for regeneration.

Solid 5+ Km'er
In one ear and out the other

Combination of dirt and paved paths, lovely scenery. A fantastic way to spend a few hours in nature without having to drive outside of the city! Easily accessible via transit which is another plus.

excellent trails!
though the invasive species are taking a wicked hold down there...

We loved it. A nice family walk took us 3 hrs. we did all the paths. And took a lot of great pic.

We got a bit hot but there were a couple spot with a nice cool breeze. And nice people. Very clean.

Wilket Creek is currently undergoing maintenance but don't let that stop you. If you enter from the south end by Sunnybrook, be aware the trail entrance is poorly marked. There is a sign post by the washrooms but it says Thomas Bata Trail - that is actually the first few yards of Wilket Creek. Only a short way in you'll find the entrance barred for construction, but stick to the left side dirt trail. It will lead you on a parallel path up to the Sunnybrook soccer pitches (be aware this part is moderate intensity and not suitable for those with very young children). Watch out for a sharp turn to your right at the soccer pitches which will take you out on to a suburban side street which you must follow north for all of about 200 yards before a small pathway beside house # 32 plunges you back into Wilket Creek, where you can continue north to Edwards Gardens and the TBG

I've done this trail 3x and every time I've ended up somewhere completely different. Lots of forks and turns so it's easy to not follow the loop.
It's an excellent hike but if it wasn't for this app, we would have been totally lost. I need to work on my navigational skills!
I hiked this with a 3-year-old in a back carrier and it was fine (and I'm not that athletic or strong by any stretch).
Great trail for "real" hiking!

Nice little walk, especially the harder to find off-park trail through the woods.

More of biking trail than hiking but it was okay.

Usually do this every September for the Terry Fox 10KM event.

Bottom half from East Don to Cummer is paved and more well travelled. North end from Cummer to Finch is woodland path and quieter.

Went for an afternoon hike. It was with lots of up hills, downhills. Some part of the trail goes by the river. There was lots of wild life and different type of wild flowers. It was overall a good hike. Definitely recommend and will do it again.

its not a bad short hike if you are in the area, the trail is part paved and part gravel (kitty litter) allot of thick bush, not very scenic but nice on a hot summer day as most of is shaded from the trees, the trail runs along a man made drainage culvert that is made to look like a creek

The first km of this trail was a trail, dirt/ground. The next km was a bike path, so asphalt. I only went 2km and then turned back (short evening walk). The scenery was very nice, overlooking the lake, passing by a beach. I just wish that it had been all trail.

liked it. the unpaved sections are especially nice. some paths are narrow, some wider, all in all not difficult and offers good options for whoever want to hike, casual walk, cycle and jog. saw a big and beautiful deer jumping in the river. will go back for sure.
