I do this trail often, usually a few times each walk. Really beautiful and can seem totally different depending on which way you walk around it. Lots of wildlife. Dog loves it too.
Nice trail for a casual walk, our daughter is special needs and requires a wheelchair. We use an all-terrain chair but even with that it's not very accessible, something to keep in mind for those with disabilities.
Very tricky to find this trail. Just 2 ruts down a farmers field. Parking is the field. Made it about 30 ft in before it became impassable. Good spot for ATV off roading. Definitely not for hikers.
absolutely gorgeous
I got on some back trails near the north end which were overgrown. Sections of long grass and flooding felt like I was following a deer path until I found a wooden bridge with a pylon on it. Generally very scenic, and the main area is likely more frequently travelled.
Nice trail, very rustic and scenic. Well traveled footpath that was great for my dog and I!
not good for strollers!
This trail is very beautiful, easy enough for little kids/toddlers. Great length for little kids too. Make sure to stay on the path though, lots of poison ivy!
Street parking made this place very accessible! A nice little pond with wildlife as well! Took the dog with me and we say a heron, a beaver and tons of birds and chipmunks! Trail was a bit narrow at times but nothing we couldn’t manage! Went during a week day and there were still a few people around! Great day!
This is one of my favourite places to take my dog and it’s a very dog friendly hike. It’s a beautiful trail with lots of wildlife—I highly recommend if you’re a bird watcher. We’ve gone in varying weather and it’s not terribly muddy, one would be fine wearing either boots or trainers. Some of the path along the pond is narrow, and there’s boardwalks and bridges to cross other sections of water. I recommend this trail to an easy-moderate hiker and it takes approximately an hour to complete.
great trail and scenery for somewhere in a town, easy 1hour hike.
Great trail, lots of trail upgrades and maintanance to make it a bit easier and more enjoyable for all.
It’s not hard to navigate around the water holes. There’s quad trails along the river but makes for an easier hike. I often see Deer Ducks Geese and occasionally beaver mink and eagles. I’ll post more pics soon Dave
This is a beautiful hike, we enjoy it every Summer and the kids are having a blast. You can admire an impressive variety of plants, very interesting formations and lots of animals from salamanders to snakes. There is always something new and amazing. If you find the trail difficult to find... you are in the wrong spot. A day pass can be purchased at the main gate for a small fee, this place is great for fishing and has a swimming pool for everyone to enjoy and a great playground, parking, very clean washroom plus lots other facilities.
Nice little hiking trail. Always love this spot when I dont want to big of a hike, but not too small of one either.
Very difficult to find and access. There is a large NO Trespassing sign posted yet a small worn trails seems to appear along a fence row. Not a positive experience.
Not a great trail to walk through, very muddy and too overgrown.
Late March - very mucky wet trail until the river. The walk along the river follows ATV tracks. Some scenic parts to the walk but at this time of the year lots of flood plain debris to navigate around. We will try again mid April when some spring flowers emerge but before the hunters come out :)
Actually it’s not a difficult hiking trail. In the beginning the road maybe wet and difficult to go, but the rest is quite easy. Remember to park in the entrance of road, and in the end just go up on the hill, and you could dramatically find your car.
Walked around the lake. Easy walk , even the trials through the woods. Great photo opportunities.

This is a beautiful Upper Thames Conservation Tract along the Thames river . I parked along the road so my vehicle didn't get vandalized . The parking lot is quit secluded . I never met anyone but could hear people talking and they wouldn't answer my calls . It is a gem but the ATV's have taken over . I think if it wasn't for the ATV's there wouldn't be any trails at all . Some spots were wet and the tires have caused great damage . Once I reached the river the views were amazing . As in the other tracts in this area hunting is allowed by permit . The beauty of this tract would be in the fall when hunting is preventing hiking . Please call your local MPP and get this changed ! K !!

We went snow shoeing on this trail . The gate was not manned but near the end of the trek some park official shows up and said we need a pass to use the property . No sign , nothing but we need a pass ? OK we will buy a pass . Ranger Yogi says you have to drive to St Thomas to get the pass during normal working hours . It's Sunday afternoon so like that isn't happening . This nonsense and some static from campers who didn't like snow shoeing we will never go back there . I would suggest avoiding all that hassle . K
