the winter maintenance on this road stops About 2 km from the parking lot with a large snowbank blocking the road so you cant access the parking lot.

Short hike but full of adventures! A lot of climbing and areas to explore! You’ll definitely need hiking boots for winter, there’s some slippery and icing areas. Be sure to go counter-clock wise through the path.

nice short hike and such beautiful sights to see

Awesome trails ! Great for family or if you looking for a good hike.

We did this trail in late November with snow on the ground, and it was wonderful! The trail is well marked and the rock formations are amazing. I agree with Joanne that it's best to do the trail counterclockwise, especially in the late fall and winter. Trying to navigate your way down slippery, snow-covered rocks into the crevices wouldn't be fun!

Spend the day head all the way to Crawford Lake

Good trail with some very nice views along the way. There are enough ups and downs to get some exercise, but I’d still consider it a very easy trail. It connects to the Bruce Trail, so it’s possible to turn this into a longer hike. It’s nice even during bad weather since there are enough trees to protect you from the rain.

Lots to explore. Really enjoyed exploring the caves and crevices. Did it clockwise witj some back tracking to hike up some and into some interesting things.

Very nice trail. various side trails of the Bruce rail system in the area also. I'll be trying to to get it again soon.

I really thought it was beautiful

Thoroughly enjoyed this trail. Happy we took the advice to do it counterclockwise. The climb up and through the rocks and crevasses were an amazing way to end our hike. A must do.

Great hike! Fun caves. I recommend to go counter clockwise around loop.

This is one of the best short hikes in the area. It is very unique and offers lots of beautiful photo opportunities.

perfect fall hike...crisp and cool...beautiful caves...perfect for exploring. If you want something more than a hike, the caves keep it interesting!

This is a great trail with some very challenging sections and the elevation changes are great.
Very busy, to be expected and a great fall day like today. And of course we want our conservation areas to be busy!

Down side of it being busy? Some sections of the trails are quite narrow in addition to being rocky so the traffic causes some jams.

would recommend going counter clockwise. good views, great water features and rock scrambles. pretty easy - flat enough in most parts to be a trail run. i'd never seen the ladders before. very cool!

nice trail... and we can choose different path to go... fun trail...

Good day hike for any fitness level. There was one short side trail that involved a bit of climbing on rocky surface. Scenic views along the way to stop and rest. Took about 3 hours return to finish. Quite crowded once I arrived at Crawford Lake. Better to go early in the morning.

It was really a good hike. Even though it was very short hike but the beauty was everywhere. Specially, the air and ambient inside of the cave was so pure and soothing. It is a loop hiking trail, just need to follow blue and white markings. Sometimes, you will find Bruce trails are merging with this loop.
There are many apple trees. You will find a lots of apples on the ground.
I would definitely recommend this trail to everyone.

A great walk for any skill level. Great scenic views from the escarpment side. (South west side of trail)

Great late summer hike. Took the dog, which was ok, next time I won't. Caves are awesome would have explored more but tough to do with the dog.

Can be slippery, well worth the hike I will go again

Beautiful trails...some of the rocks are a great challenge. Definitely will go back.

Great for family with little kids wide trails quite busy

Enjoyable hike. Pretty area.

Half of this trail from the Eagle's Nest to Manitou Mountain is an old logging road - watch our for dirt bikes and four wheelers. The other half connects the lookout to the highway and is a much more enjoyable hike! The lookout itself is beautiful and worth the hike from either direction.

Very accessible. The hike to the lookout is short but the view is very nice.

Beautiful - except we got lost and ended up at Crawford Lake. Signs need to be better. Maybe we're dumb...it just would be nice to see trail headers everywhere clearly marked.

Loved this hike...will go again and again taking as many friends as we can.

Beautiful trail and views, easy stroll in the forest. We went on a long weekend and was surprisingly not packed. Will return. Pooch loved it too.
