This place is phenomenal!! I come here for mountain biking and I have never been disappointed! It's got almost every type of trail you can think of, except for downhill or extremely aggressive trails. But for real it has every level of expertise here, if your a beginner there are trails for you! if you have a ton of experience there are trails that will still challenge you! I've been coming here literally for 15 years to ride my bike and I will continue for as long as this place exists! If you don't know the trails well then it's fairly easy to get turned around HOWEVER the 401 noise helps you keep track of where you are and which direction you are heading. Watch out for the busy seasons tho... It can get VERY busy during peak biking season. I've also hiked here many times and its just a great place all around! I would give it 6 stars if I could! :)

My favourite local trail. Been doing this hike for over 30 years and it never disappoints. Well maintained, quiet and litter-free. Well-covered by trees other than the start. It can get very muddy in spots after rain so wear appropriate footwear. Has a couple of moderately small hills therefore not great for those not sure-footed. A fabulous 45 minute escape to nature only 5 minutes from the City of Guelph. Stop off at Union Market Square in Arkell before or after for refreshments, ice cream or a bite to eat.

Nice easy hike through cedar forest with a river overlook.

A favourite spot for years. Always reaffirms why I love Guelph.

Good hill and forest hike with shortcuts through for lazy days. and fun place to see and feed the chickadees!

great spot! Nice lookout also.

completed our 1 year hike without a day missed tonight here 2163 kms. hiked

A little rocky for strollers in some parts but an easy walking trail!

Noce trail loop, good for biking or hiking. Gets pretty busy on the weekends, also mosquitoes were quite bad in late Spring early Summer (June 2018)

You can spend hours in the back trails behind the second pond .

Nice wooded trail. Very flat with only 1 spot of evaluation. Only a couple few of river though.

First time at Little tract, and were pleasantly surprised to find only 2 vehicles there. It's beautiful inside, with clearly marked trails, and some off trail paths. Good sized loop as well. But what ruins it is the fact that this is NOT a lightly trafficked trail. By 1130 the lot was full of hikers, and bike riders. As well, prepare to be eaten alive by the mosquitoes. I read the previous reviews and though we would be ok considering it has just started to warm up at the end of May, but we had to cut our hike short cause it got bad. This would be great for fall or winter. Summer? Or spring? Not for me.

Beautiful trail - full of Trillium, variety of undulations, plant and bird life. As noted by others there are lots of ‘offshoot’ trails and it’s easy to get disorientated. Saw only 2 bikers and a few other walkers and a fair amount of mosquitos!!

was in the area for the day and happened upon this trail. Was a nice loop trail with both easy and more challenging areas with plenty to see and a couple benches along the way if you need to rest or just take in the environment. saw plenty of birds, squirrels, chipmunks a snake and couple turtles. Will definitely walk again when in the area.

Perfect trail for a quick and easy walk in nature!

Great local spot - but definitely not a secluded hike on particularly nice days or weekends!

Fun little hour loop! Watch your feet though, it’s easy to trip with all the roots on the path

Crazy walk today in the windstorm poor trees were snapping all over the place

Nice trail if you go when no bugs. Winter is the best time! We have seen pileated woodpeckers there, neat to watch.
We do avoid it sometimes if busy as a lot of off leash dog are not well controlled.

nice day to be out. Nice trail and friendly chickadees.

Great hike after the ice storm and no damage to the trees

A lot of other hikers today and the trails are very muddy at the moment but that doesn't take away from the great main trail.

Shoes with gripped soles come in handy in a few spots. I wouldn't recommend wearing sandles in the summer.

The trail is 75ish% covered by the forest canopy. This makes for a beautiful sight when the sunbeams shoot through onto the path.

As well, I was lucky enough to have a few chickadees eat seeds out of my hand.

Starkey Hill Trail has a few gems to offer; it is worth exploring.

Right beside 401 - can’t escape loud traffic rumble. No one complies with dogs on leash rule - dog crap everywhere - might as well be an off-leash park

Another nice quiet evening walk

It’s a nice trail but still muddy at the moment. You should consider to visit in the next few months.

Nice trail with plenty of off shoots. Glad I had the app otherwise I think I would still be out there trying to find my way back. Liked the variety of incline/declines.

Great little trail for a quick hike!
