My rating is for the overall park, whereas the trail itself would perhaps be a 3.5 star. It is a well maintained and standard state park. My husband and I went on a very warm day in February, and the trail was very busy. It’s fantastic for most/all skill levels, and would be fun with children. I rather enjoy a more remote hiking experience, which this particular hike was not. With paved trails winding through the upper north country forest, and breaking open to a beautiful view of the Minnesota-Canadian border, and the thundering 130’ High Falls, I will have to return, to hike the other trails in a different season. (Hiked: February/2017)

great time

We’re regular participants of the trail. I did my first 10km run on Christmas Eve and second time on New Year’s Eve.

A great workout trail when we have limited time to gear up for a full snowshoe hike or when there's not enough snow on the ground. Plenty of parking. An easy, level trail.

Great trail. My question is: If the trail is signed not for biking, why are there reviews about biking the trail?

Easy trail, best done on a bike. Lots of great scenery and old buildings along the way.

Trail was incredibly difficult for me as a novice mountain biker, lots of really steep inclines over medium sized rocks and loose gravel. Spent most of the time walking our bikes. Was there in the summer 2018.

Brantford has some really nice trails that are well taken care of. This trail is now one of my favourites.

The trail is easy to get to for folks who live in Toronto. It was a bit noise with city sounds, but it was nice to see lots of families out with their kids, even in December!

Great trail easy not moderate. Worth coming year round.
Beautiful spot for lunch picnic that’s covered.
Need icers to have an easy worry free hike.

Parts of this trail are very interesting but it is almost all paved and there is too much time walking on roadways. The trail was closed in a couple places forcing us back onto roads. Probably a good route to bike.

Great trail...my dog and I enjoyed it !

This is a great trail if you’re in for a day trek. I’ve completed the full loop twice now and the course is lovely to experience the different views and hills. At one point we did have to take our shoes off and wade through the water as one part of the trail was flooded. Besides that it’s a great hike. Make sure to pack food and lots of water!!

This trail is really wonderful and great for stroller or wheelchair...there are only about 200meters soft surface which maybe hard for stroller and wheel chair, the remaining are great!

Where do I find the veterans road entrance

A beautiful walking trail along the river/Creek. There is an abundance of bird life, apparently coyotes but I've not had the pleasure of seeing one. It is a heavily cycled trail and folks go fast even though it's narrow and rarely warn walkers of their approach so stay alert.

First time on this part of the Humber River, and was pleased with how wooded this was, yet also a part went under Rutherford, so it's not that remote in case of an emergency. Families with young kids were out for a walk and on bikes, an one mountain biker came out of the woods. Plenty of photo opps, and the chance to go fishing and see wildlife. Did 1.5 hr.

Nice but not that great. Wouldn’t do it again.

Great walk and it is absolutely beautiful in the fall. I highly recommend it!

Beautiful trail in the heart of the city. Family friendly with lots to do in and around the area.

Excellent paved trail in the middle of the city. Stroller friendly for families with little ones. You will come across a lot of friendly people and some wildlife.

I don't know why but this trail gave me the creeps. I was by myself and took a shortcut to get out of there as fast as I could.

started at brickworks and headed up to mount pleasant where path is paved and flat (i.e. many families and strollers). coming back down through balfour park is not stroller friendly at all for about 1km, then there is a split, where a paved trail can be rejoined.

A great trail for walking, well maintained

Not very picturesque. Not much "nature". I could hear the hiway traffic the whole time.

This is a perfect getaway close to downtown, both for walking and jogging, and with a bit of detour also for biking.

Single track trail for novice to advanced mtb riders. However, there are some sections that need maintenance with fallen trees obstructing the path. The east side of the river is rideable for the most part whereas the west side is more of a hiking trail. This was my experience of the Etobicoke Creek Trail from the Queensway to Dundas East side https://youtu.be/KvvNNMdujb8

Great trail. Well maintained with nice views.
