For travelling on foot this trail sucks! Too many cyclists. There are better trails to walk or hike on than this. There are some parts downtown though that are good to walk on but most of it should be left for the cyclists. It is a great trail to bike on though.

Great multi-use paved trail, used by both cyclists and hikers. This path offers great views of the Ottawa River the back of the parliament buildings and Rideau Canal.

Love this trail! I use it for biking as well as walking my dog some really great look out points.

I wasn't sure how the trail would be with the warmer weather this past week. It was great! The slushy, melted snow made for great resistance and there were several spots of ground to tread on to break from the resistance of the snow.

Better for cross country skiing than snowshoeing but enjoyable all the same. River was frozen over well so we were able to venture out!

Very nice trail for cross country skiing but the snow was a bit too compact for snow shoeing. I recommend going just after a heavy snowfall if you want to do snowshoeing.

Second time completing this trail. Last time Was in the summer and bugs are overwhelming but in the late fall it’s quite nice. The return path on the other side of Ridge Road is low and extremely wet even without recent rain.

I wish the bridge wasn’t closed off to the public, it’s so intriguing!

Watch for the detours around Hurdman during LRT construction. Also, the path has been flooded under the Hurdman Bridge for quite some time. You will need to portage your bicycle around it.

Busy Pathway but lots of beautiful views. Winds its way long the Western Parkway and the Ottawa River. Great for cycling, waking or jogging. The pathway follows the bluffs behind Parliament Hill and The Supreme Court of Canada past Victoria Island, The Canadian War Museum and west out beyond the Deschenes Rapids and Britannia Park to Crystal Beach.

Excellent pathway for cycling, walking, jogging, nature walks, birding, and for accessing the river to canoe or kayak. Much quieter than the western section of the Ottawa River Pathway. Lots of wide open spaces in certain sections while others are heavily forested. The path is well maintained and well signed so wayfinding is quite easy. Passes the RCMP Musical Ride and The Canada Space and Aviation Museum.

I believe this trail starts at p21 in the greenbelt. I walked a bit with my family and young daughter. Well pleasant, I find the nearby Mer Bleue Boardwalk a more interesting and varied experience.

Nice walking and good views, the boardwalk is excellent. Only concern was the amount of bugs.

Nice multi terrain hiking trails. This is a dog friendly area but please poop and scoop! These trails are more for a leisurely stroll and not for the hard core hiker.

Great trail, mix of forest and open areas, some great scenery areas. The wooden bridges add a nice touch. Really enjoyed this one.
