Fun trail with a variety of topography and scenery. There's a nice spot with a bench for a snack break on the main part of the trail within the loop. Also, come with pants as there is poison ivy on some sections.

Should be noted that you’ll need reservations to hike in the Cypress Lake area and the trail is fairly busy. You can make reservations ahead of time online or on the phone with Parks Canada. Cost per car is $17 including parking and entrance fee. If you don’t make reservations ahead of time, chances are you’ll be able to make the 530 to 930pm. Great place to bring a family, not really any difficult hikes in the area.

did the 15km, no regrets

Great hiking! Definitely want to come back in the fall!

BEAUTIFUL VIEWS!!!!!!!!

Great little hike!

Love the rough terrain and the elevation that gives you the best look outs but you have to be really cautious if you are going in spring as snow makes it way more difficult and dangerous

Great trail..very rocky.. don't know why it's rated as moderate, it's fairly challenging !

Great little trail to do as part of the glass bottom boat and shipwreck tour. Easy for my then 8 year old and still a nice walk for us old people.
Can be very busy.

We visited this island a few years ago . Kind of costly if your just going for a hike . I could not believe all the garbage that people had left , it was disgusting . Wildlife way too friendly , actually pestering us for snacks . Lots of snakes , had to watch our step in spots . Other than the garbage it was nice .

An amazing trail with stunning views. Trails are well maintained. A lot of elevation changes. Bring water and snacks for sure as well as proper footwear. If planning on doing the whole loop leave early as to finish with some day light.

When we went the hiking was good for the majority of the trail. The cave was closed, light house closed as was the trail to the light house. So 3✡ is all I can give.

Great half day/day trip. The water is beautiful!

Amazing trail ... very rough terrain. Make sure to leave enough time to complete the loop in the daylight.

Very beautiful hard hike, rough terrain but the look out points are well worth it!! Breathtaking

Beautiful hike and great view of Georgian Bay. I've hiked in a lot of places and didn't expect the moderating of this hike. Definitely a fun one and very scenic.

Great views!

Very nice view,easy walk

The boat cruise and view of shipwrecks in the crystal clear water is worth the cruise to Flower Pot Island. Once on the island there is over 6km of trail. The less used trails are to the SW end of the island and the western end of the loop to the lighthouse, which have some demanding sections. The east end is well groomed, heavily trafficked and wheelchair accessible leading directly to the Flower Pots.

It was a gorgeous day. Couldnt have asked for a better day. Aside from scaling the side of a cliff, I'd hate to see a "hard" trail from those rating this as moderate... I'd say that my family is quite fit and this trail proved to be a hard one. A lot of trecherous paths, roots, and rocks. The scenery was absolutely stunning and well worth the 5 hour drive for us. Because it was such a long drive we were only able to hike a small portion of the trail and we were out on it for 6 hours. Definitely would go back and finish it.

Excellent views, very rugged

Really nice hike. Wish it was 5 times longer.! :-). Good varied terrain and beautiful scenery.

If you like beautiful Georgian bay this trail is for you. Although it's rated as moderate, l found this trail extremely tough on my almost 60 year old body. lt"s an very rugged trail full of rocks , roots and very hilly. You're constantly up and down. Follows the lake on a good part of the trail with a ton of beautiful scenic views. Took me 6 hrs to travel the 10 miles; my fitness counter counted 31, 800 steps and 28 km. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will tackle it again this fall when the leaves change. If you have any problems with your knees this is definitely not for you. I also wouldn't recommend doing this hike in the rain, you're navigating over stone most of the trail and it would be quite slippery. You don't want to fall on this trail.

Quite nice location. Worth the trip

We only did part of this trail to stormhaven and that took us longer tham we thought. This is a tough trail but the amazing views were worth it. I've spent a week in Tobermory and this coastline was the best part. Get there early as the parking lot can fill up quickly and then you have to wait for a spot (no road parking allowed). I would like to go back to swim and
climb along the shore on the huge boulders. (The trail heads up high quickly - it is not at shore level). Leave yourself lots of time to enjoy it. At stormhaven there is a nice rocky beach for swimming.

rough trail but great hike!

Nice, sometimes narrow and rough.
