Not a bad trail but very poorly marked. Be prepared to balance across a log to cross a swamp.

The trail is easily accessed from the Reid parking. It is entirely forested, with some cool rock formations. There are no lookouts or views of the lake. there is a disc golf course along a portion of the trail. It would make a good running trail.

There’s no trail or parking, just a road around the lake.

A nice little hike, well worth going out to see High Falls. A section of the trail is in a bit of an overgrown swampy area, but isn't too bad. It might be worse in the spring. There are a couple of streams that need to be crossed across some semi-sketchy tree trunks, other than that it's pretty smooth sailing. The trail isnt super well marked but the path is mostly obvious enough. There are a couple of nice camping sites along the hike for those interested in an overnight deal.

Minnow Lake Trail is a lovely hike and is also an excellent opportunity to see the Petroglyphs located near the beginning of the trail. We saw lots of wildlife (grasshoppers, snake, toads, birds, chipmunks). It is a bit hilly but can still be easily done with kids. Not too tough so long as you are fine climbing rocks and boulders for a short section. The views from the lake are wonderful.

Great hike to the falls at the end. Trail isn’t well marked so I suggest recording or following someone else’s. We went off trail a few times. You have to cross the creek via a log “bridge” - that was made a bit more complicated since an unknown animal had decide to poop in several places on the log! Good places to camp and or stop for lunch.

This is a pleasant trail with nice views of Minnow lake. However the poison ivy was quite prolific and at times difficult to avoid since it sometimes closed in on the pathway from both sides! The path is steep in places but should be ok if you have reasonable shoes.

The reward of the falls at the end is worth the tough hike. - keep to the warn down path by keeping an eye on the tree markers. These are ribbons tied to trees. - if you find yourself in deep mud and talk grasses, you went the HARD way. The path is warm down the whole way - wear long pants and sleeves. Having a good helped a lot. You get hot on this trail so wear lite clothing. Hiking shoes are the best choice. - the path is away from the water. Don’t take the paths that take you close to the water. This is not the trail. The trail goes on the other side of the big rock. - I saw 5 campsites. The gross part is the toilet paper piles

clean and well maintained, very easy. lots of bugs, but that's inevitable this time of year.

Great hike with my friends. The trail splits into forks at times, but it didn't seem to matter which fork we took, as they rejoined every time - be sure to follow the orange ribbons. I'd say the trail difficulty was at most moderate, if not easy, if you're in decent shape. Do go all the way to the waterfalls, it was serene. Trail traffic was very light.

Lots of bugs in spots, but totally worth it! This was our 2nd time going, but this time (August), most of the boggy/marshy areas had dried up which made the hike a lot easier for our two kids!

Had lots of fun today! And got ourselves lost a couple of times too! The trail can be pretty hard at some points and there are a lot of off trails that can get you confused and into some deep bush! We made it to the falls and it was definitely worth it! Ended up using another person record of the trail to get our selves back out without getting off trail!

Full disclosure: Didn’t actually walk on this trail. There is no roadside parking permitted and the only indicator that this is even a trail is a small opening into the woods.

I got about 30 seconds past the creek/log bridge and into the marsh swamp and began to have a full blown panic attack and turned around. You can’t see where you are stepping and there’s no real indication you are even on an official trail. You can feel things under your feet as you walk through foliage as tall as you are. Did you step on a turtle? Maybe. A water snake? Hopefully not. Am I going to be covered in ticks? Likely. Am I being dramatic. Yep! And I’m not going to be back anytime soon.

There are many great camping opportunities along the trail once you pass the creek. If you walk east along the small crossing creek, you will come to more logs to cross that may be more comfortable. Early spring there does tend to be a lot of bugs so don’t forget your bug net. Firewood is super easy to find, we have never had a problem finding firewood. The falls are extremely loud I would suggest camping a little ways away unless you enjoy the sound.
