Easy, pleasant trail. A few muddy points but nothing that couldn't be skirted. Some noise from nearby trail with dirt bikes and ATVs. Ducks and geese were enjoying the sun swimming about the pond.

Loved this trail! Well maintained and many different trails to choose between, depending how long of a walk you want:) we found a bunch of geocaches along the way too!

A little short and on the easy to moderate.

Quite lovely. Nice walk along boardwalk to the grove. Saw some garter snakes warming up in the sun. Will come back in summer when nut trees are in full leaf.

Super short. Not well maintained but flat. Some views of Rideau River.

My family and I walked the Cedar Grove Walking trail. It's a flat trail and not too slippery even though we walked at the end of the winter season. Unsurpisingly it walks through a cedar forest. The best part is that if you want solitude you'll get it here - just you and nature. We saw only 2 other groups while walking over 1.5 hours.

Very nice forest with well maked trails. Few people but the sound of cars on the adjacent highway broke the peace of the walk. Friendly area with police station, restaurants and mall shopping close to site. Will return again !

A nice trail all year round in a large City of Ottawa natural area (Marlborough Forest). This loop goes around a Ducks Unlimited pond (Rogers Pond) and travels through forest and a large meadow. Marsh and forest birds are common and you sometimes see turtles and snakes. Other wildlife are common but shy as the area is hunted in the fall (I wear hunter orange when on the trail in the fall and stay off of it during the 2 weeks of rifle season for deer). The trail is buggy in the spring and early summer and muddy in the spring and after heavy rain, although the section into the pond is a gravel maintenance road for the Ducks Unlimited dam so is always good condition. The trail is part of the Rideau Trail system developed by the Rideau Trail Association and is cleared by them on a volunteer basis. Cedar Grove Trail is a blue loop (blue markers) off of the main Rideau Trail (orange markers).

Washrooms available at Baxter Conservation area and lots of parking however its $6 for a day pass. Paths are well maintained and there are boardwalks and a few good lookouts. Saw lots of frogs and a lovely blue heron.

A nice long boardwalk first leading past an osprey nest and then leading to a curious nut grove. Very flat. I would give it a higher rating but it was already busy in april and I suspect very busy in the summer months.

I'm sure this is a great place to visit, unfortunately most trails were closed due to flooding. Definitely will go back once it's later in the season.

A short and informative walk. Lots of info boards, some nice lookout spots and easy terrain and boardwalks. I enjoyed the nut grove with different trees and the Osprey nest was cool also. A nice dip in the beach nearby made it a good trip out.
