Parts of the flood plain trail are overgrown but otherwise nice walk with the dogs. Bug spray is a must and double check yourself for ticks.

Great trail for a fast walk. Lots of nature to listen to and will see Deer occasionally.

As far as I can tell the north section of this trail is no longer open.

There is lots of wildlife along the trail. Would reccomend going near dusk to complete the whole trail. Full of interesting sounds and smells. Bring a camera or be prepared to never let go of the memories you make here cause it's worth it. Very nice trail for walking your dog. I brought a bike along and my dog dragged me from Port Dover to Simcoe no problem at all. no pedalling either. Lots of shade too. Definetly an addicting trail to go on.

one part of the trail is tricky and confusing but overall beautiful

Tried this trail for the first time today! Did the full trail and it was beautiful. You could smell spring in the air, you could hear the frogs singing, we saw little black and yellow butterflies and things were starting to green up. One note, check yourself for ticks when done....found one on the dog...but anyone who hikes knows you have to watch for ticks.

Nice little trail. Wherever there is a tree down they have made a path around it. Not overly long or tuff but a nice hike. Burrs in a few spots if your taking a dog.

Well marked, well maintained and shaded in many sections. A beautiful and easy (flat) ride. Bring plenty of your own water as there aren’t any opportunities for water between Port Dover and Simcoe.

This is the nicest section of the trail the rail trail that links Simcoe to Brantford. Its a combination of forests and open fields. It's not paved but is fine gravel with a few areas to park along side the backroads. Trail is well kept and in good condition.

The trail follows the river from Simcoe to Port Dover on a mixture of gravel and pavement. Very flat with a nice mixture of wooded and wetland sections. Grab a fish and chips at the beach in Port Dover.

Not all that easy to follow, even with maps. Did not get in as much hiking as we would have liked because of difficulty finding the trail. Lovely forested area but some climbing involved. Very nice area overall to visit. Normandale Century Inn was very close and a great place to stay overnight.

The Norfolk Sunrise Trail connects The Lynn Valley Trail to the Waterford Heritage Trail. It's built on an old rail trail and is paved. Not much for scenery as it passes through Simcoe.
