Based on the rating this trail got I didn't have high expectations for this trail. I was pleasantly surprised! It is short, easy level trail so it isn't challenging but the scenery is quite nice great for photographers. Seen a beaver, gold finch and heron and something else that was swimming just below the water, may have been a snapping turtle?

Walked along the water on a cold winter day. Beautiful and calm.

Mostly asphalt trail. Lots of bridges and a few boardwalks. Many viewing spots around the pond, even a restaurant with burgers and ice cream. Lots of ducks, and loons, even a great blue heron.

Toogood pond is completely CLOSED right now for some major construction. Went today and was disappointed to see it closed, unsure if it will reopen this summer as a lot of work appears to be happening.

Very nice day of walking the trails... definitely going again...

A little busy in spot, but still can't complain. And a very nice surprise of the Unionville Village on the other side... very nice.

It was okay. Big park if you want to play sports or have a picnic. Not much to see

I wouldnt call it much of a hiking trail however there are some decent boardwalks to cross and Toogood pond is a nice loop to go around for a short run. Also walking through the trail and than down mainstreet Unionville is a good outing

The park itself is big with a wide path and other than lots of green space not much to look at. The trails on the out the edge take you into the woods and are more Intersting. It's a fun walk if your In the area and come before the park opens to vehicles(before may) and you can walk around without seeing a soul.

In fact, this trail now is connected from Bruce Creek (Unionville) to Milne Dam Conservation Park (10 km for a loop walk) by the City. This trail is unshaded, flat. Good for beginner.

If I could I'd give this one a zero. It's 4 bucks each to get in if you follow the directions but if you drive north of the park and park on a residential street there are plenty of access points that are not monitored at all.
The vast majority of this "conservation" area is mowed grass - perfect for large groups holding family or company picnics. The "trail" is not marked at all so we ended up doing a circuit of the park on a gravel path, it was pretty boring. We then found the "trail" which consisted of a short (probably 200 ft) walk through the woods which lead us to a 2 block walk through a residential area and then another short grassy walk to the lake. You can hear the heavy traffic from the 407 everywhere you go. The lake is beautiful and you' d swear you were in cottage country except for the loud traffic noise. This was a total waste of time.

Nice escape into a forest trail within the city - it's a paved trail with plenty of turns and bridge crossings over rivers. There are a few forks that take you into neighbourhoods so stay on track.
