It is beautiful and easy trail. I will recommend to also use beach access to see lake Huron. It was light rain when we arrived but because trail goes through woods rain didn’t bother us. If don’t own bike then you can rent it there.

Beautiful trail to walk with kids

interesting information about different specific tracking and mapping of the trails. awesome!

No a fan of this trail. Nothing very excited to see. Bottom end of the trail was still very wet.

Easy and quick, flat terrain minus some stairs but very minimal. Nice for a late evening 10mins walk before sunset

The trail started out good but about a quarter of the way through I lost the trail. It’s not marked and overgrown. I persevered to complete the loop but could not find a trail. Three quarters of the way I crossed back over to the beginning to finish. Lots of scratches and covered in cobweb! Lol. If you stick to the park with its boardwalks and wood staircases you’ll be golden.

Not able to complete whole loop due to large tree fell over blocking path, probably from recent storms.

Short trail but lots to do on it, just be prepared to pay an entrance fee at the gate

Driving from London, it was a perfect half day outing with the family. Trail is short but works the legs. You can spend lots of time climbing down stream too which the kids loved.

Holy Poison Ivy Batman!! The trail is very narrow and is covered in poison ivy. Make sure you wear pants, dogs will get covered in poison ivy as well.

From the parking lot it seems to funnel you into going counterclockwise on this loop, when I do this trail again I will do it clockwise. The trail head for that is left of the building across the field. That way you can get the “High ridge trail” portion done first which is the more challenging portion. Some ascents are pretty sandy so I recommend good footwear. Trail was no longer flooded, the paths were muddy in spots but it was firm passable mud that we didn’t get dirty in. Some small trees are across the trail easily passable as well. There are narrow sections for one person each, and this is frequented by mountain bikers so I’m sure that you need to be mindful of that. Otherwise very cool trail. This has spot has multiple trails and you can easily bypass the high ridge trail and have an easy level hike if needed.

Great trail! Went with my children aged 2 & 6. My 6 year old had no trouble at all, but my 2 year old had to be helped/carried much of the way. Lots of stairs, but they were manageable.

A beautiful trail if you can get past the mosquitoes and flooded sections. The particular path traced out by the app takes you on all of the different paths and is moderate difficulty.

awesome scenery. lots of stairs. good workout.

A nice trail for a quick, leisure stroll. There is a detour with stairs to a lookout. View is partially blocked by trees. Worth the hike though. Doesn’t take too much time.

great little trail and the lookout is a beautiful spot for a break and even some fishing.

very easy for an avid hiker maybe not for those that never hike or are not able to do stairs. It's mostly flat but there are a couple areas with multiple stairs to go up or down.

this is a beautiful little trail that you can do alone or add the extension to the lake. I've done both multiple times. the lookout over the channel is a beautiful spot to have a lunch or break and watch water fowl, birds, etc. lots of info posts that you can listen or read along with in the Pinery APP. overall a great little trail!

It is not a big conversation park, but with a small fall, a little fossil museum and some fossil you can find at north of the dam. It is not too bad. The trail is relatively easy and short for me to hike and run (with some stairway steps). The landscape is not bad. There is a longer trail which I run into it but not much people hike there. It is not hard but it is not really maintain and a bit over-vegetated with fallen trees. Lots of fossil rock near the upper river area, but mostly are shell fossil but probably you can find some with insect.
