We just hiked this trail. It is in good shape. I disagree with the previous comment because the trail markers are present and there is a beaten path that is easy to follow. There are some fallen trees on the southern part of the trail where it is a bit grown in by young trees. Beautiful view of the La Cloche mountains.

My sister and I hiked this trail a little over a week ago and found many of the trail markers had fallen over the winter. With this being the case, it was extremely hard to stay on track and took us a significant amount of extra time trying to find our way.

I have hiked this trail every year for the last 25 years. It is as good a short trail as you are going to find. There are great views of Georgian Bay. Bring a bathing suit, there is great swimming along the way. The trail is easy, can be a flip-flop hike.

Somewhat dog friendly, a few tricky parts but my Bernese Mountain dogs did ok. Fall colours were beautiful. No bugs but it’s also colder out.

Nice trail to experience the rocky beautiful landscapes typical of georgian bay shores. Great trail with a dog. Rather highly trafficked for September, though it was a Saturday. I would rate it as easy-moderate.

Beautiful views of Georgian Bay. Completed in 2hrs with several stops for photos. Dry day end of August. Trails were great for 2 inexperienced hikers. Some more challenging hiking over certain rocky areas but doable if you take your time to find your footing. Definitely not just a stroll on a flat trail but the adventure, exercise and scenery were worth the effort.

My son and I had a great time hiking this short trail. Great views and a nice gift at the end when you get to visit the lighthouse. It was rainy and some of the rocks were rather slippery as is expected in wet conditions.

A worthwhile hike. View of Silver Peak brought back memories of my youth. I wish I had taken this hike on a day with fewer people. Even though we didn’t see many other hikers somehow the trail still seemed not as remote as I would have preferred.

A very interesting and varied trail away from the more popular hikes. Some excellent views of Silver Peak, and from the lookout at water level. Little wildlife visible aside from a few small birds and a heron. Bugs were pretty heavy for July, mosquito and larger biting fly (looked to be stable flies) so bug spray is a must. The road to the trailhead is rough in parts, but passable without a 4x4 at low speed.

this is the easiest hike in killarney and the easiest section of the lacloche. takes 35 minutes to get to the site at a moderate pace. well worth it because h1 is one of the nicest sites in killarney

Half the trail is forested and shaded, while the other half involves climbing up and down rocks with some great vantage points of the water. Reasonably well-marked. We were able to complete it less than 2 hours.

Good hike! Great views...

Beautiful views of the Georgian bay. Some parts can be rocky, not recommended for anyone with mobility issues, but not to difficult otherwise.

My fiance and I did this trail today with our 13 year old beagle mix. We absolutely loved this trail but since we're not experienced hikers, would rate it easy to moderate. There are some steep inclines and descents that we had to pick up our dog on, and some we slid down on our bums. Overall great trail, really secluded - we didn't see anyone else on the trail, and it took us 3 hours to hike taking our time and enjoying the views. Oh yes, since it's part of Killarney Provincial Park, we had to pay $14.50 for a day pass, purchased at Killarney Kanoes which is located 2km further up Bell Lake Road. Definitely recommend this hike! :)

Well marked trail, but paying attention is critical (we had one backtrack required). Would not recommend when wet, as much terrain over smooth sloped stone. Great swim/snack/water spots when you reach Georgian Bay. Would rate higher towards moderate due to micro and macro elevations, and "rooty" areas in valleys.

nice little hike very nice water views some muck but easy to avoid.some rock scrambling nothing to hard but wear decent shoes.took a little over an hour and a half there and back.
