Nice trail. Easy terrain but lots to see. probably very buggy earlier in season.

Neatly kept trail. Nice forest and marsh setting. Buggy so bring your spray! So many intersecting trails though it’s hard to maintain momentum as you keep looking at the app to figure out left or right here...if you follow the marked loops you end up back at the trailhead in a few minutes! The trail is a group of quite small loops. If you want the full hour plus of exercise then you need to keep jumping loops to extend yourself around the perimeter of the total area. Overall a nice day of trail running and walking. Worth the time.

Easy trail for walking, biking, and dogs. Peaceful also great for jogging

awesome trail went end to end 30 km I would do it again.

Took it from Cookstown to Thornton. super sunny not alot of shade.

One of my fav trails. I usually park at the Tim Hortons on Hwy 89 and go either north or south. Both ways are GREAT! I take my dog..off leash. Lots of rivers for him to swim in and drink from. 3km x 2 either way.

I also park at the Veterans road entrance and hike to Thornton and back. 3km x 2 there as well.

One day I will hike the full length from Innisfil Beach road to Cookstown.

Tons of beautiful trilliums this time of year!

Gravel trail mostly, wear some shoes with thicker soles. Take a picture of the map at entrance, as no a lot of them during the trail and minimal phone reception to track on the phone.

Overall a very good place to hike!

Nice little trail that unofficially connects to another nearby trail. Be respectful of the trail and others property lines and you should have no problem.

Great trail with plenty of signage and picnic benches to stop when needed. Part of Friday Harbour Resort and the views are really nice considering it's not done yet. There are a few dog stations with free poop bags and waste containers. This place is going to be amazing when it's officially completed. My favourite trail in the area by far.

Still some icy sections today, but mostly clear. More trail sections are being developed. We did a loop that is not completely shown on the map. Signage has been added, so it would be nice to be able to download a more up-to-date map. We also passed a small pond and a bog that are not shown. Overall a very pleasant, easy and scenic walk with the dogs.

someone said the trail is paved. it's not. flat packed gravel mostly. formerly railway. cool history. take it all the way to Cookstown.

this is a much smaller tract then you'd think by walking through it. this tract actually ends at a spot where the trail crosses over a fence that's been knocked down. most folks step over the fence line and keep walking. this is the point at which you'd also start to notice small piles of household debris dumped in the forest. they are usually pretty clandestine, but it is sad, regardless. the trail is a pretty well known one locally and well traveled. generally, dogs here are off leash. if you have a problem with that, this isn't the trail for you. I've never seen anyone doing anything but walk their dog or take photos (scenic background) here. it would be great for a beginner's trail run as it is pretty flat. if you go past the fence line, then use a mapping programme like all trails record function to mark your turns (or you could end up wandering for quite some time)!

Great easy trail, flat
