660 steps to the top and back! Great for year round, no good for dogs

Nice, wide and well maintained trail. It is well used so a bit busy with joggers and bikers even early in the morning. The loop was convenient with a possibility to extend the hike into other branching trails in the area that are a bit quieter.

well marked and wide trail with plenty of loops. we missed a turn and took a nice stroll down a quiet road for a bit, which was also perfectly pleasant. muddy in the rainy season.

Great trail very scenic and easy enough for beginners

Rated 2 - not a hike or walk, the parking lot is 50 meters from the viewing platform. $5 to park, view is amazing but definitely can’t be classified as a trail.

It was a nice quiet trail with, descent points of interest.

everything I want in a trail - water fall, large rocks, the creek to follow, tall trees , some inclines, a path with a little bit of a challenge to it and free parking. only did a few km's in it was beautiful. will plan to do the entirety when I have time. note it should be listed as moderate rather than easy

Paved route, beautiful scenery of the bay. Very enjoyable walk

Lots of amazing views such as the upper quarry cascade at the waterdown start point, the snake falls, boundary falls, grindstone cascade and the most beautiful of all, the great falls or smokey hollow falls. The trail itself is gorgeous with all the wood additions to help guide and support hikers. A must trail to travel especially in the winter although its slippery and muddy, but definately worth it!

Nice lit up. There’s a beaver dam as well.

Great area for exercise but I would say it’s moderate not easy. Just because there are so many steps and some double sized ones.
Tight edges in some places a little stressful when slippery due to weather and need to give way for in coming traffic to pass. I would recommend hiking shoes in this trail.
Some may find it challenging on the way down but consider this trail loops and double the work going up on the return.
Over all it’s a great area.

Lots of hills. Really good trail

Great view in fall

Great trail!

Great hike with lots of access to water edge! Some cool graffiti art to be seen on over-pass and some uphill jaunts too. Lots of wooded area with woodland creatures (squirrels, chipmunks, raccoons, birds, etc.).

Such a beautiful spot to hike! I love how there are many trails to choose from. Go for a quick hike or really spend your time there. You could get lost in that forest for hours (my favorite feeling). I only had the chance to do the main trail (with quick stops at hermitage ruins and the Griffith house) and seeing how lovely it was, I would absolutely want to return to do all trails, multiple times, and maybe even try biking. Gorgeous in the fall, well marked trails. Recommend throughly!

I really enjoyed this trail. for a sunny Saturday in September it was quite calm. about 6 horses, 4 bikers, and a half dozen hikers. many long stretches without seeing someone.

You can park near the baseball diamonds at the community centre, but you'll have a steep climb uphill at the end. to avoid that I would drive down the compacted gravel road to the end of the lane.

Very beautiful trail, moderately busy. Nice hills!

Just awesome. Vibrant fall colours and great hiking experience for all ages.

Moderate hike. First portion is quite easy going. The deeper you get the steeper it can be. Lovely views of the escarpment.

Love it in autumn. Great fall colours and beautiful waterfalls.

Basically a dirt road, decent for a stroll through the forrest, but not much variety and not worth the $3/hour parking.

Perfectly nice trail. Easy going. Nice views out towards Hamilton.
Ending was a little disappointing, you end up on top of the falls rather than below them and theres no really good view down.
Enjoyed the walk though.
