Fairly standard whiteshell hike. Not difficult and not really the best views. Biting flies were out of control in late July—each person had 20 swarming them the entire hike. Also watch out for flagging tape that leads off the main trail and can get you off course.

Great hike with a small bichon mix that loves the water. We love the different lookout point with bench to sit and eat lunch while our puppy went for a swim.

Minimal signage - however relatively easy trail to follow. Decent footing. Trail carries on beyond “end” didn’t have time to explore but would love to go back. Very peaceful by river. Pack a picnic - at the end point you can wade in water. Down the street there is Fireman’s park which is very lovely.

Some parts were shaded, others sunny. A simple trail

The trail does not start at McDonald Rd as AllTrails says. There is a corn field and a closed gate. We went around but the path was flooded. Find an alternate entry or another trail. There was no parking lot

Nice terrain but trail is not well marked and easy to go off track. Be careful of the bikes.

Beautiful trail to hike but not to bike. took our Mountain bikes down trail and had to walk them half the way up steep embankments and over massive roots and rocks.

A lovely walk through the forest. If you’re lucky you’ll spot a deer or two. Bring a bathing suit for the rocky beach part.

Trail was wonderful - did not disappoint! Had to bypass all the road closure signs to get to the trail head. Fabulous trail, really needed my app for some sections as markings were not clear and would have taken us through another loop, when we were not up for! We will definitely will be hiking this again!

This trail is described as moderate on the Provincial Parks website, and I would say that is accurate. we've previously done "moderate" trails and found them easy, so I thought, at 34weeks pregnant, I'd be ok. the first 1.5km is pretty easy going, but the second half has a decent number of steep up and downs that anyone with knee issues or not in shape (or pregnant!) may find more challenging. Hiking boots are highly recommended and there is a side trail to a campsite marked by yellow markers thats worth doing the first climb (5min) for a stunning view. Overall, highly recommended!

Lots of flies, mosquitoes, and spider webs. Part of the trail is torn up from motorbikes.

I love this area but get lost in here quite easily, even with the map!

This is a place I keep coming back to. Seeing complaints of losing the white trail. It’s across the creek if you look up and across at the edge of the water. Use rocks to cross, and it’s easy to follow from there. Near the end, at the top of a hill you come to an old farming type road. Turn left to walk thru the farmers fields and you’ll see the little parking lot.

Super small trail. Probably a lovely spot for a picnic, but I didn’t stay long.
