trail running

Park closed for the season. A few dog walkers. Nice area.

An amazing trail with stunning views. Trails are well maintained. A lot of elevation changes. Bring water and snacks for sure as well as proper footwear. If planning on doing the whole loop leave early as to finish with some day light.

When we went the hiking was good for the majority of the trail. The cave was closed, light house closed as was the trail to the light house. So 3✡ is all I can give.

The dam is currently closed so until May it isn't really a loop. The trail does have muddy sections (20 ft lengths, 4 inches deep or so) the day after rain.

But that being said it is a well maintained trail running along the edges of farm land, residential spaces, light industrial and a lake. Easy walk.

One of the best places around for a flat, scenic, paved cycling ride.
Wide, paved trail, all along Lake Ontario. Cross the drawbridge for Hamilton Bay. Several piers/lookout points, beaches and benches along the way.
Is heavily used on weekends, but wide trail still provides for good speed for cycling, rollerblading. Other times are fairly quiet and allows for 3 across cycling.

Nice trail - great variety of views - extend down to the base of the Whirlpool by following the Whirlpool trail (well marked)

If you want a straight easy trail which is not the rail trail (that is across the road) it is a good choice. Easy and the wind in the branches quickly replaces the sound of the traffic.

Very clean trail, lots of nice gentle inclines and declines. Trail isn't paved but makes for a more naturey experience. Nice atmosphere, few benches to sit on along the paths. Lots of families and dog owners walking along.

It's a nice long paved trail with no inclines. Very easy to do but since it's so long it's still a nice small workout. Primarily walking through parks with views of neighbourhoods and schools in the background. Definitely no where to stop for washrooms! There's a side path you can go to look at a small marsh and lots of birds along the path.
