Absolutely loved this little trail. An easy walk through trees and by river. An instant mood booster. :)

Just the right distance. Well marked. Be careful of the roots under the leaves (in the fall).

Nice shaded trail. One good sized hill but an easy walk overall.

What a wonderful little hidden gem. This review is for the actual area. Not specific to this trail. I was very surprised by the Goodrich-Loomis Conservation area. Excellent parking with a porta potty at the entrance. Many different trails of varying length to choose from. Streams, forest, meadow and wide well cleared paths ( exception Beaver Trail and Loop d Loop which were less travelled, narrower and with many obstacles to watch for ) I did all the trails in 2 hours. Just a very few steep inclines. Not a strenuous hike but great exercise in a beautiful setting. Will definitely go back. Great for mountain biking as well. Trails are well marked and there are several picnic table locations.

This hike is a gem for this small town! It’s actually surprising for how big the forest and trail is. A nice non difficult hike with a small river flowing mid way. No lookout points, just a nice stroll.

We love this trail. It’s beautiful in winter and summer. It can get wet close to the creek.

A surprisingly nice little trail with river, and deep cedar woods rising to hardwood uplands. A good midway break in the drive from Toronto to Kingston.

Very much enjoyed this trail! Nice drive there, peaceful and quiet and variety of trails to choose from. Bring the bug spray!

A fantastic set of trails. Depending on the choice of trail expect to climb some hills. Beginning of April and the lower trails are still ice covered and quite muddy but overall a great place to hike.

I absolutely loved this trail. It's one of those places you don't expect to be so good. it was awesome for mountain biking though at times there were spots I had to get off my bike and navigate around. Because of falling debris and I would recommend bug spray. But overall it was worth the 50km drive from my place.

Really enjoyed it

I don't think there is actually a trail at this location. There is parking and a good place to launch a kayak. Remember this is a Provincial Park and there is a day use fee.

Good well marked trails, but the relentless mosquitos ruined the hike!!
Do NOT enter the trails without bug repellent, and LOTS of it!!
Will return in the fall.

One of the cleanest trails

The Goodrich Loomis conservation area is a great place to hike and mountain bike. You have a choice of numerous loops - which also loop onto each other. Nice creek running through the property and an Esker that you can hike up. The trails are well maintained, although some of the further back loops can be quite muddy. There is lots of room for parking and there is a clean vault toilet near the parking lot. Recently, a doggie-doo-doo bag dispenser was installed and the conservation area does hire an independent security/by-law company to enforce the leash law and poop'n scoop law.
There is a large wooden map just past the bridge to show you all of the trails - and their lengths are included. I rarely find this place busy, and usually never run into people. Unknown to a lot of users, is the fact that there is a trail on the other side of the road from the parking lot. I'd guess it to be about 2.5-3km maximum and its a nice trail that leads you past a wildflower grassland and up through a spruce plantation. This is also a looped trail, but you do hike a bit before the loop starts. I would recommend visiting their website: http://www.ltc.on.ca/conservation/ca/gl/

This 4km loop trail is a favourite of mine. It takes you up a short incline to walk atop the Esker and then gently walks you down the other side about 1.5km later. From here you head through the forest for a while and end up hiking alongside Cold creek. Next is a planted coniferous forest and then ending where you started on a grassy field. About 45minutes to hike, but there are a number of looped trails that stem from this trail. There is a large wooden trail map a few 100 yards from the parking lot which will show you the route. All the trails are well labelled. This trail is located at the Goodrich Loomis Conservation area, (part of Lower Trent Conservation) and you will have lots of parking, no admission fee, and there is a clean vault toilet near the parking lot. Trail is also great for mountain biking and cross-country skiing in the winter.
