Gorgeous gorgeous views from the rocks, and plenty of areas to climb around and get spectacular views of the lakeshore and surrounding islands

The best kept secret of Algoma. Usually I see no one on the trail and the
trail makes no attempt to be direct and the late fall and winter, slippery patches....a beautiful trail with outstanding views.....at foam lake you can camp as long as you get a backcountry permit....then summit in the morning....one of my favorite trails....feel the burn

This trail has some amazing scenery but is not easy. Just as you enter the trail, there is a warning sign , letting you know people have fallen to their death or have been seriously injured, so why is this is rated easy. It might be a short hike but there’s some tricky navigating. The diabase canyons and pictographs are the highlights. Wish they would put some sort of rail system to hold onto where the pictographs are located, it was wet and slippery when we went and didn’t get to see all of the pictographs because of the risk factor. I wouldn’t recommend bringing your dog to trail and there’s a sign saying no dogs.

Really great half day hike. Took us four hours with several long stops. Lots of amazing views and interesting things to see (lookouts, interior lake, Lake Superior shoreline, waterfall) along the way. Trail had some rocky sections with several up and downs but otherwise a comfortable hike.

Beautiful short hike ! Lots of guests swimming off the rocks, so if you're interested in that bring a bathing suit. I would also recommend running shoes so you don't slip off the rocks.

This trail track IS NOT THE TRAPERS TRAIL,
It seems to be a manual track of an old, very old path that does not even exist elsewhere than on some wrong topo maps

Not an easy trail for the passive hiker, elderly, or small children. Beautiful views of the Lake in the end. Really enjoyed this short hike.

Easy and fun :) We did it in less than 2 hours and take 30 minutes to eat on the beach !

Absolutely worth the drive from Sault Ste Marie! Trail is decently marked. Distance on here is def accurate. Definitely wear big spray if you’re hiking during summer - stagnant water near Lake Superior makes for a very buggy experience. Stop at EVERY scenic overlook, and spend time on the rocky beach. Do keep in mind that part of this trail goes on the rocky beach by Lake Superior. Lake Superior Provincial Park is phenomenal. Definitely swim in Orphan Lake and Lake Superior. Both feel so refreshing.

Definitely worth it! Amazing views!

Awesome! Make sure to bring good footwear and go on a day when the lake is calm to maximize your visit!

Hate to say it, the hike/trail and scenery was better than the pictographs. Still worth the trek down. Not an easy go to reach bottom. No taking granny down.
If your in health and good knees, your good to go.

Nice walk. Boardwalks always put you in the heart of things. Relaxing.

Great hike. Beautiful views and bring your shorts for the back 9. Opportunity for a soak in a “pool” or two

Awesome!

Easy trail to walk, however, little differing scenery to observe. Other maps will state that the road to Warp's Bay is 5km... but it's much longer! Be prepared for a 4hr outing, at least.
