Blue Mountain Summit trail offers a steady climb to the summit of Blue Mountain, offering the highest, unobstructed views in the Halifax Regional Municipality. The trek to the trailhead involves walking along logging roads to the woodland path, which has no winter maintenance. Caution is advised when snow is on the ground. The logging road is private property which has been opened to hikers wishing to visit the Blue Mountain trail.
Parking Information: This route follows from the trailhead at the end of Anahid Drive. Hikers may park here, so long as they do not obstruct the driveways of surrounding residents. The “Birch Cove to Blue Mountain” trail offers a second pathway from parking off of Lewis Lake Terrace.
