Had to backtrack a couple times to pick up the tea.after losing it. Definitely tired out the dog. Had a great time.

Enjoyable hike with amazing views. Saw a cow moose too. It is a must do if you are on Cape Breton Island

Super short hike, and quite gorgeous. Signage was clear and ropes were handy. It was a bit busy, and some folks had left garbage behind :(

Slippery descent and an invigorating climb back!

Good hiking trails. However, if there were any markers, I did not notice any. could not find my way around the lake.

Beautiful view but just half of way was opened.

Hiked here on a gorgeous September morning. Top tip - even in September, arrive early. Just after 8 we had the boardwalk to ourselves to watch the porpoises and pilot whales have breakfast. Bring your binoculars!

excellent

Easy trek. Beautiful views. Unable to get to the very end due to high winds. Loved every step.

Nice walk with a bit of wildlife along the way (moose and “hikers” with flip flops). Nice view at the end with a big descending boardwalk. A bit busy for my liking but a fun trip nonetheless.

Easy hike, wonderful view from the ridge. Go early if you prefer solitude.

Great trail. Would not rate it as easy given the steep inclines and the section the would not be possible without the rope assisting.
Saying that it is a very worthwhile and awesome hike to a beautiful waterfall.

This is a walking trail, not hiking. It’s a beautiful walk. GO EARLY! Gets very crowded. We were there by 8:00 and there were only 3 other cars. When we finished at 10:30 the parking lot was full. Please pick your trash up, especially cigarette butts! Gees!!

The trail is in amazing shape, beautifully manicured and even has a bathroom in the middle. We were unlucky and happened to be visiting when smoke from the west coast fires created a TON on haze and the sunset was completely blocked out by the haze.

But...we did see a moose as we returned to the car. We saw it just to be east of the fenced in area (to keep out the moose). I will post a picture. The moose came way to close (for my liking), we were about 50 feet away as it galloped by, quite a treat!

Was a bit disappointed with this trail after hearing and reading all the hype. Yes, there is a very nice view at the end. But getting there felt like being on the hiking super highway. Far too many people for my liking, and the “trail” was better than some of the roads we drove earlier in the day! Having said that, we had done the Kauzmann Trail and Meat Cove Overlook earlier in the day. Just about anything would pale in comparison.

Der Trail ist einfach zu laufen, nur die letzten Meter über die Stufen sind anstrengend, dafür ist die Aussicht grandios und es sind sehr viele Leute unterwegs

Beautiful! Great loop. Love the board walk down.

unbelievable

Amazing! Sad to see visitors trespassing on the areas clearly marked as no go zones. Pleased to see authorities tracking down violators. Remember it’s not all about you, it’s about appreciating and preserving nature.

Saw a moose 10 feet away from the high traffic trail but the view at the end is absolutely gorgeous!!

A steep hike but well worth it!

The entrance to the trail is a bit hard to find. Drive up the gravel road and look for the orange ribbons tied around a post. The entrance is a bit past where the GPS will direct you to. Head down the trail through the forest. It can be a bit slippery if it has rained. There is a rope to hold onto for the last part of the trail where it is steepest. Once you get to the bottom you will be rewarded with a spectacular sight. One of the most beautiful waterfalls! I have visited a lot of waterfalls in my life and this one is right up there! It'll be a tiring hike back up the hill but to see this waterfall is so worth it!!!

To reach the falls, you must descend a steep hill, some of which requires holding onto a rope. It is well worth the trouble, but is not recommended for anyone that would have difficulty descending or ascending a long, steep hill.

The lookout is unbelievable. Trail is very accessible to all.

As expected, spectacular views! Trail was an easy stroll. Saw families with strollers and flip flops. Had opportunity to pass through a Moose exclosure...be sure to close the gate behind you. Hiked this trail the day after we hiked the Franey trail. Wanted something easy. It was.

Beautiful waterfalls! The last part of the descent to the falls is quite narrow overlooking a steep drop and involves holding onto a fixed rope, which might not be suitable for everyone.

The fork was open to both directions on Monday morning and was able to do the loop. Saw a mother and baby moose about a km into the walk, roughly 100 feet from the trail, and another larger female moose on the way back to the lot from the Skyline look-off - she was much closer, maybe 20 feet from the boardwalk. Amazing trail, and relatively easy - I’d call it a walking trail as opposed to a hiking one. Very well groomed and wide.

I agree with Shauna...it’s a steep descent to the falls, and then a steep climb back up, so if a person has knee problems the trail is certainly not “easy”. However, the falls are beautiful, well worth a visit!

I would rate this moderate because the walk back is very steep, not necessarily easy for all ages. Other than that, one of my favourite hikes in Cape Breton, I've been multiple times.

Short but steep. Falls are worth it though.

The loop is closed but u can still hike the trail. I feel this trail is a bit overrated. I can see better sunset at various locations in Chéticamp area without having to walk ie drive up and watch.
