Great spot for a solo hike/walk. Started at the trail head and went to laweencetown beach. The walk back isn't as exciting, and there are some rare birds to find!

Beautiful day and beautiful trail! Unfortunately very little shade. It is definitely more of a biking trail but still a lovely scenic trail to walk with your dogs. We will for sure be back again :)

Very humid day for a trail wake. Lots of motorized vehicles. Not much room to pass on trail.

Very wide and well maintained trail; mostly flat with very gradual elevation changes. Being so close to residential areas along the entire route, there aren’t many points of interest or views so it felt a bit monotonous. The trail is shared with ATVs, but other than the odd sign of a vehicle turning around or entry point, there was no excessive wear or damage to the route.

This, so far, is my new favorite hiking trail. Although there were so many bugs, I still thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Definitely felt like a good workout. Can not wait to do it in the fall.

It’s a pleasant walk that takes you along the river for the most part. It can be really mucky in the spring but otherwise it’s really pleasant with some nice views. There were no signs indicating private property when I went, so I’m not sure about what the other commenter was saying. This whole area seems to be regularly trafficked by atvs, so maybe be mindful of those. There’s a few side trails that veer off so there’s a bit to explore but can get a little confusing as to where you’re going, so pay attention to the turns you’re making.

Really pleasant easy walk! It takes you along the Fales River through a forested path and then you can take the path out behind the Recycling Plant across from Greenwood Mall or out to Rock Notch Road. You can even take it up to the back of the Rydel Subdivision off of Rock Notch. It would be an easy one to walk your dog through or go as a family.

I use this trail a lot. Biking, skiing, jogging, hiking. It is along the lake then into some hills. Hiking takes about 1-1.5 hour. Great place to see warblers and other birds. And lady slippers galore in June.

Did a nice half marathon today. Was pretty overcast, so not too busy. But still caught such lovely views, including rabbits and horses! It's nice and flat, so I had a really steady pace. Great trail!

A great trail to bike on a hot summer day thanks to the winds coming off the water. Biked out to Lawrencetown Beach, which was quite chilly, but very refreshing. The trail is a bit rutted for the first couple of kilometers, but not that bad. Lots of benches available along the trail; we stopped at one in the shade for a quick snack.

17 and overcast when i walked it. Only did about 2.5 kms in and back from bisset road. Great scenic views. Once you get past the trees its windier so there aren’t any bugs.

we enjoyed this hike very much through the woodlands, the fauna and wilderness along the trail was stunning in June. Trail was well marked, but appropriate hiking trail boots are recommended. We logged more than 3.5 km, we neared 10, as they appear to have added a couple more loops or trails not yet added on the map. We expect to return again, very enjoyable walk in the woods here.

great scenic trail, mostly by the river. it's wonderful that people are taking time to make little rock paths or wood plank bridges to help keep feet dry. my dog enjoyed it too, it's a safe trail. please take garbage out with you tho, lots of dumping noticed in the woods.

Nice short and easy trail. Could sit at the falls for hours, it’s beautiful, very quite and secluded just in behind a little cabin. Will definitely remember to bring bug spray next time

done this a few times. good if you need an easy trail and just want to get away and here the birds. Not so much to see and a bed for mosquitos so bring bug spray. in saying that I've seen deer and rabbits which is great. just did this trail yesterday. I prefer a bit more visual interest to break it up, but still 5 stars as a flat easy trail is what it's about.

May 28, 2020. Wonderful well marked trails. Thank you so much to the volunteers who keep McDonald park so clean and natural. Today my wife and I trekked the outer trails of the park. It was very warm but very enjoyable. Thank you. Brian R.

Did this trail today in about four hours. Would definitely recommend lots of sunscreen and many layers as the open areas over the water are very cold and the inland areas get very hot! Lots of bikes!!
