This is as close as you will get to Central Park in Halifax as it’s a beautiful park with endless trails and things to see. Can also see several old war bunkers and interpretive signs which is very interesting. There are a couple parking lots - this park is always extremely busy and really comes alive in the summer. Parts of this park are off-leash... some parts are no dogs allowed at all. Some are only on-leash - you have to watch your every move for little signs where the areas change. Are easy to miss. Beautiful views of the ocean/harbour and can even see York Redoubt and Dead Man’s Island from the park.

We love this trail as it is a lot less busy than the other trails in Sir Sanford Fleming Park. It is very woodsy and is a nice quiet loop with a bit of an incline. You likely wont see many people (if anyone) on this. Lots of other connecting trails you could pair this with. We love walking our dog on this trail.

Beautiful very short trail along the Norhwest Arm. Beautiful views of the Dingle Tower. A good trail for the whole family and dog friendly (on-leash). Lots of picnic tables and benches. Great spot. Lots of other connecting trails available.

if you like local history and want a short stroll in a beautiful community this is the spot.

Nice boardwalk trail right beside Fisherman's Cove. There is plenty of parking but the lot can be very busy during the summer months with Fisherman's Cove so close by. Easy walk for the whole family with beautiful views. It was raining quite heavily the day we were there so no pictures.

Excellent trail system for the whole family in the heart of the city! Plenty of parking but can be very busy. Washroom facilities located throughout the park. There's a rich military history to this park as well. Highly recommended!

I did only a small portion but what I did was easy and enjoyable

We loved this trail - the Great Oak Loop was a great little hike with our 3 year old! Lots of spots to stop and rest, take in the view and play in the lake.

Great trail for a brisk walk !!

Great trail to walk if you need a getaway from the city within the city.

Absolutely awesome. Had my six year old ride along side for 16kms and my three year old in a bike trailer all the way to Lawrencetown beach. My wife stayed with the kids while I rode back to Bissett Lake to get the car. Great day!

Nice views just prior to sunset

Good to do with very young kids or dogs. A casual walk more than a hike experience.

Great biking experience week days when not overall crowded.

Great biking trail! Scenic, well-groomed. Came out at Lawrencetown Beach - fantastic spot to stop and rest and then turn around and head back. Love it!

This is a nice pleasant, easy walk for all types of walkers! Some nice views of Halifax on route
Great for a leisurely ramble.

Perfect trail to use as alternative to urban hiking. Water views are very nice and historical significance to the area adds to appeal.

Great views. Must do! Cycling only otherwise won’t see anything

Beautiful location, especially in the early morning for the sunrise and seeing the cruise liners coming the Halifax port. Dog Friendly off leash before 9am I believe. Trails are well groomed and water view on three sides of the park.

Definitely preferred biking over walking it!

Convenient.

A beautiful picnic park with lakes and a walking trail. I often see people fishing there or swimming. It connects to the Rum Runners Trail as well.

Slight elevations. Smoothe. Fairly busy - walking, running and biking. All very accommodating. I enjoyed biking on this trail! Lots of birds and squirrels.
