Beautiful views at numerous points along this hike. Trail is marked quite well with ribbon. There are some mucky spots for sure but they're passable. The lake is gorgeous - so quiet and serene. It's a good hike - definitely budget a few hours. You'll want some good boots too.

It was a great hike but was hard to find. So hard that my group gave up and started going up in the rocks. We hiked about 6 minutes and accidentally stumbled to the entrance! What luck! The trail was well marked and had a shorter and longer loop. (Loop A and B)
This type of hiking is my favourite because there isn’t too much up hill and you need to pay attention to where you are stepping because it’s mostly rock. I like that you have to balance on rocks as you go by.
I would have given this hike a 5 but it was so difficult to find so I give it a 4. Definitely coming back before I leave!

A trail where you can walk and/or hike depending what route you take. This is a fantastic hike to do with your dogs and you are able to get some fantastic pictures on the rocky side of the hill.

Part paved and part not. Nonpaved part is rocky and interesting. A couple nice views. Decent trail.

Went on a beautiful day. Because of recent rains the bog areas were flooded and we got very wet feet. Otherwise the terrain was manageable even for the not so young.

While some of this trail passes through bogs, most crosses and traverses smooth rock domes, exposed to breezes and allowing views of the surrounding countryside. The trail is well-marked with yellow and orange tags. We hiked the trail in early July 2018, after a period of extensive, unexpected rain, and some of the bogs were flooded. In most cases, small logs were laid down so that you could cross the standing water; in other cases, alternative routes were laid out. The views from some of the rocks were very nice, providing an excellent panorama. It was generally fairly easy, with only a few spots where scrambling was necessary, but we would recommend sturdy shoes.

Quite nice for a walk / hike that close to the city centre, but walking right next to a highway about halfway through the hike kind of ruined it for me.

the western side of the lake is really nice, the eastern portion is more of a city walk

Some swampy areas but most over rocks on generally well marked trail.

a nice hike with educational components to improve your geological knowledge

a nice city hike around frame lake trail, legislature, close to downtown

this trail got split in half when Ingrahan Trail bypass around Giant Mine was opened, less travelled with local mining history

An easy stroll though an abandoned minesite from the 80's. Hazardous areas are fenced off. The area is scheduled to be cleaned up by the government. The trails are the gravel roads through the site. Lots of artifacts to be gleamed from the ground, maybe some gold from the remaining stockpile.

This is a short trek with a lot of stairs. Your reward at the top is a panoramic 360 degree view of Great Slave Lake to the south
