Very nice in winter

This isn't really a trail as you part at the base of a stair case and take the stairs up to the monument; definitely walking and not hiking. Can be done by virtually anyone and gives a SPECTACULAR view of the lake, old town, and more of Yellowknife (check out my photos!). Completely exposed off the lake so the wind can hit hard and chill you fast. Worth the few minutes to complete if you're in town.

Really nice view!! and not too far from town :) It's a short trail too. If you are looking for short activity, this trail is the best! I will do it again!

It’s a nice, short, walk up the rock that leads to the monument and a great panoramic view of the city.

Meh. Seems pretty popular this weekend but I didn't like it. I've been on some great trails in the nwt but this is my least favourite. I'll come back in a year or two. Maybe it'll be better marked by then. Ranney Hill is a great trail.

good trail, but comes across quite a few swampy areas so bring boots. seen a really big wolf as well as some black bear a couple times so keep a eye and maybe bring bear mace or something but you will come across that most places you hike in NWT. Beautiful lake you can fish and camp. trails aren't bad but the growth needs to be cut back a little as you will go through some bush and rocks may be quite slippery if raining. The trail is ribboned along trees to fallow aswell, over all it's a pretty good hike.

Well marked easy trail with lovely views ..

A nice little hike, fairly short and enjoyable for the whole family. Dog friendly as well. The water falls are beautiful, as is the view from elevation!

Amazing trail that leads to a great view. Muddy on some spots and some trail markers were kinda hard to spot sometimes. Highly reccomend this trail

A short trail that takes less than 10 minutes to one of the prettiest views around yk.

A small climb up to a nice scenic view. Takes less then 3 minutes to get to the top, the view is pretty good.

definitely not a hiking trail, it's a lookoff in old Town, but definitely still worth the climb! there's a little parking lot, and then a wooden staircase up to the monument/lookoff. A must see for anyone new to Yellowknife!

Cameron Falls is a nice short hike, with rocky terrain with the occasional wooden stairs/pathway to help with the incline. The waterfalls at the end of the hike are gorgeous. Highly recommend!

Great little hike across exposed rocks, fragrant forests and with views of the nearby lake. The trail had interesting info boards. Few bugs. Lots of colourful lichens and August berries to enliven the walk. It was dry when I walked it today but on a wet day, some of the trail might be slightly treacherous. Highly recommended!

There’s an unmarked rocky area beside the road you can pull off into. There is a quad trail that leads to a “stage” with a nice view of part of the lake. There is no actual trail where the app says to go unless you want to bushwhack.

found the trailhead, but the double track takes you to where a house was started to be built (a bit ago it looks). Found an overgrown looking trail to the bluff shores and a few pieces of flagging but gave up, enjoyed the view and returned. You could follow the shore around if you felt like.

One of my new favorites near YK. There is a small pull off across from the trailhead but definitely a tricky one to find at first. Beautiful lookouts on way out, i made a loop and came back through forest (with some rock). worth the loop I think. you can avoid the steep down to the shore if you want too. Some markings (orange tape, logs, white paint) but not consistent. Worth the hunt.
