Best trails in Cupids, Newfoundland and Labrador

The Burnt Head trail is located between the Anglican Cemetery and Cupid’s Haven B&B, at the top of Burnt head Loop. The route follows coastal paths in a loop of just over 2.5 km (gentle ups and downs and some stairs). Along the way you’ll find woods and meadows, ocean vistas, a sea arch, picnic tables, a waterfall and traces of previous settlements as well as blueberries when in season. Please use caution near cliffs. Entrance and exit are located by the road and there are signs posted on the trail for easy directions. At beginning of trail is an outhouse and a map outlining the trail. There are short cuts outlined on the trail to lead you back to the main road, these are outlined by "back to vehicle" signs and the other sign will indicate to continue on the trail.Show more

Note: The first part from the parking lot was fine. We took the trail to the summit. The path up was well marked with white stakes, though a lot of loose rock underfoot. You can complete the loop from the summit to the lighthouse trail. There are no markings or stakes on this side. Show more
