Great trail. I think it might be a little underrated with a moderate level. The beginning from the beach is almost straight up through rocky terrain. View from the top is worth the hike. Would be better if trail better marked out

The Ocean Trail East is closed for construction but still fully passable, just need to be careful on the walkways as they are in need of repair.

Start at East Coast Trail sign then when it splits to the left, go up hill. Straight up for 1 km then we took the left trail to a rocky ledge lookout. Easy trail and marked with pink ribbon and paint. Then double back and join trail (orange markings) to bluff. We definitely followed another hikers trail to get to the mountain bike trail that took us down and back to the parking lot. You do go on a dirt road but only for a short distance following this route. Good hike. Slippery in spots but there were ropes to aid in those places. We were wearing good trail shoes so it wasn't a problem, even after a night of heavy rain.

A great hike but the trail up is steep with quite a bit of deadfall to avoid. Definitely need hiking boots. Our group thought that calling it moderate was under calling how steep and slippery it was. Pay attention to the map to find the start.

View is amazing! Trail is poorly marked in spots.

Great for the whole family! Lovely shade on the trail for really hot days.

No one ever does the whole trail but doing parts of it is a nice way to spend an afternoon. You can start pretty much anywhere and end anywhere too, as it goes through a good chunk of the town, there are lots of entry points. It’s easy, good for kids, dogs, bikes, etc

Iconic CBS trail. Swimming in summer. Very cute. You can do as much of it as you want there are many starting and ending points. Fun way to feel like you’re out round the bay while you’re still in town.

Always a great time. Been here in winter, summer, rain, snow, etc and it’s always worth it. It’s rocky at the beginning and can be very snowy or puddly. People bring ATVs and I’ve even seen people drive trucks out the trail to the lookout point so watch tf out! Don’t bring your kid. Don’t bring your dog. It is a CLIFF. With NO railings!! And it’s rocky and probably very muddy or snowy. People have fallen. You cannot see the trailhead from the parking lot and there are no markings but once you’re on it you can follow it easy. It’s a super short walk out, less than 1k for sure If you have trouble finding the trailhead just wait til someone else parks and follow them. It’s a popular trail so there’s bound to be lots of people around you can ask.

Breathtaking view. Trailhead a little difficult to find. Go to the end of summit drive and go up over the bank, u will see it. Trailhead not clearly marked. Trail very rocky but easy to follow.

A good workout with a great view at the top.

Beautiful views, not a maintained trail, rough in patches especially in spring. Signage not great at the top for getting to the parking lot. If you go to the right you end up on private property.
