What a stunning, gruelling, totally worth it hike. Bring lots (lots!) of water and take it slow. on this hike we managed to run into a moose at the peak and some ptarmigan chicks and their mom.

This was an easy hiking loop that can be seen here: https://youtu.be/WZs1DBFtFu4 It was an easy hike that is pet friendly. Our dog did get some painful red ant bites, so do watch for those anthills. If you are in the area, you must stop here. You will probably be in and out in twenty to thirty minutes depending on how long you'd like to stay and take pictures.

This was a quick, five minute hike that can be seen here: https://youtu.be/WZs1DBFtFu4 It was an easy but steep hike. There is parking at the bottom as well as a zipline. The whole family enjoyed the hike and beautiful views. If you are in the area, you must stop here. You will probably be in and out in twenty minutes depending on how long you'd like to stay and take pictures.

The Copper Mine Falls Trail and the Cape Blow Me Down Trail are both awesome in their own ways. Cape Blow Me Down Trail: https://youtu.be/WDqkJWdGYV4 At the end of the video you can see the really short hike to see the Copper Mine Trail Falls. Short hike, huge reward! If you want a real challenge, the Cape Blow Me Down Trail, which is right next to the Copper Mine Falls Trail, will fit the bill. It is 3.8 km up and the same to come down. It took us 2:45 to climb it and 45 minutes to descend. You will never see views like this unless you take on this challenging hike. Definitely wear layers and bring food and snacks.

More a correction than a review. Dogs are NOT allowed on the LRT. There are certain trails where dogs on leashes are allowed in the Gros Morne National Park, but definitely not on the LRT.

Really nice trail. Short and sweet. Brings you to spectacular Steady Brooks Falls

Meh. Its a pieced together city walk that goes through alot of peoples disheveled backyards. Two stars because it is a trail that goes along waterford river, and I didnt get mugged.

I walked this area in the fall. Its very difficult in spots as there are no marked trails and much of the area is wet and boggy. I recommend visiting the area in the winter when the bog is frozen over.

If can get this trail on a half descent day then it is fantastic. Have hiked it in the fog too and the view wasn’t quite the same.

My family and me use these trails in both the summer and winter. Great hiking trails with geocaching along the way! In the winter they have some great snowshoeing trails.

Amazing trail with some amazing views along the way! Yes it goes by a dump - the contrast really makes you think of how we interact with nature.

A nice walk through a old spruce forest. Not much to see along the way but the lookout is spectacular!

A beautiful leisurely trail. The fall colors were stunning and water sounds were soothing.

Well maintained with lots of nice spots to view the river. Popular area for salmon fishers, moose, beaver, ducks and other wildlife. Be careful when water levels are high; this area often floods.

We found a brochure on this trail system at the airport, and since we were driving through the area we thought we'd pick it up just in case we wanted a walk. It turned out we decided to make our oatmeal breakfast at the nature center at the new picnic facilities, then walked some of the trail afterwards. It's clear that a lot of love and thought has gone into this place. We thoroughly enjoyed the peacefulness and added touches like excellent signage and playgrounds. Just before we started walking a school bus dropped off a load of kids. Their leader said, "okay, take out your binoculars!" and off they went. This place will be a gift for generations to come, and we were so pleased to become acquainted with it yesterday.

Possibly the best dayhike I've ever done - and that's saying a lot. The views just kept coming and coming, and the trail is in such fantastic shape! We even saw two moose as we headed out. I'll be talking about this trail for years.

It may be scary, but climb the tower! The views are breathtaking! Walking around the little trails at the base of the tower are really enjoyable, too. Can't recommend this enough!

Beautiful Trail! Well maintained and easy if you start from the southern trailhead. Starting from the north means you have to climb hundreds of stairs which is more difficult.

One of my favourite secret spots. A short but very steep, unmarked trail brings you to a beautiful swimming and salmon fishing spot next to a waterfall along Mint Brook.

This is the site of an abandoned ski hill. The trail is very overgrown. There are makeshift campsites along the trail. A nice place to have a "boil-up" or campfire but nearby Thomas Howe trails are much nicer.

Love this trail! Built recently, this is one of the best trails in Terra Nova National Park. Just be cautious when it's wet; the rocks can be very slippery.
