The trail begins with some industrial views and than follows along the coast.. It's very well travelled and maintained.. The difficulty increases once you go on the portion called "Troy's trail"

nice little trail. It will soon need a little trimming.

Beautiful place to go.

Great mountain biking trail

Awesome views

Very nice trail with lots of great views and stops along the way. we followed the foot paths around the perimeter of the Island and they're very easy to follow for about 7km in total. Signage is pretty good but can be a bit confusing at some intersects. We did this with our young 5 & 6 yr old boys no problem and took a bit over 2 hours with a few short breaks. highly recommended for a good afternoon stroll on a nice day.

Great path to run, walk along the city harbour. Well paved and lots of places just to sit and day dream.

We did all the connecting trails.. I believe it was 7 km. Awesome views for almost the whole trail and lots of places to get off the trail and relax on some rocks and take in the views.
There is definitely some roads that are right beside the trail, with lots of cars going by but I still think it deserves 5 stars!

Always one of my favorite places to go. Love the views and the trails.

Been there in search of three caves.
Found two along Rockpile Road called Howes cave.
Won't disappoint but bring lots of water cause the refueling area are scarce.

We didn’t do the perimeter road. Instead, we opted to do the perimeter trails. A number of trails intersect to take you around the coast. This gets you closer to the water, than the road. It also clocks in at around 7-km.

We set off early in the morning and had a great view of some Great Blue Herons and numerous smaller birds, squirrels and chipmunks. Some pictures attached.

Very well maintained pathways

We have hiked Taylor's island a number of times. It is impressive from the highway which is how we first stumbled upon it..."let's see if we can get there!" The paths are wide and mostly covered in crushed rock. Good for bikes , strollers, or a gentle walk. Lovely views and a boardwalk out onto the marsh. Tip: When mosquito season hits it is quite buggy, wear big jackets and bring bug repellents.

Great trails. Lots of hills and rooty sections

This is a beautiful park area. We made the complete tour of the outer trail. Lots of geocaches. Only downside are the amount of roads that have been added. Makes for a lot of traffic. There is no indication of this on any maps or websites.

This trail is a great way to get to know the city of Saint John! It has many informative plaques about the history, ecology and other sites along the trail. It leads you right from downtown up to the Reversing Rapids where the river actually runs backwards at high tide. We saw harbor seals and many ocean birds along our walk. We also took a detour up to Fort Howe to get a great view over the city and the harbor.

Love this trail...basically just linking the outer trails at the Nature Park. Close to the city, well maintained and lots to see!
