#2 - Slack's Cove
Rockport, New BrunswickLength: 0.4 mi • Est. 10 m
A small, relatively 'undiscovered' cove near the end of the Lower Rockport Road. A small cairn/historical marker has been erected commemorating the 1763 landing of 13 Baptists from Swansea, Mass.
Rocks on the beach and in the cliff walls often contain fossils from over 300 million years ago. These are in the same geological vein as the ones you would find at the Joggins Fossil Cliffs.
