beautiful trail. quiet and peaceful

One of my favourites! Great for trail running, and hiking.

Awesome hike with an amazing waterfall at the end. The trail follows a constant downhill grade right to the falls (2.2 miles). It gets a little steep at the end but still quite manageable. Not too difficult as long as you are agile and somewhat in shape. Once you reach the stream, keep going down and towards the left. (This part is a bit tricky but not too bad). After a couple minutes, you will reach the waterfall! The hike back is all uphill. At a steady pace, this entire trip (including a 25 minute break at the falls) took us a total of 1 hour 50 minutes (4.4 miles) Totally worth it!

Really good trail for an easy and quick run

Love doing the sugarloaf. I do it almost once every week !

Great trail for beginners and well seasoned hikers alike.

Great hike! Take your time and enjoy the views. Some steep sections but overall a wonderful 5km hike in the woods.

Great hike, fairly easy starting out then gets a little moderate with some uphill climbing. 2 beautiful bridges near the beginning. Some muddy sections and a rope to go over a section. It is longer than 9. 1/2 km as the sign near the end says 5.5 km (done) and 250 m to the end so we would say we did at least 11km round trip.

Not for the faint of heart, it’s a fair trek in and out and not to be underestimated. It’s one of my favorites partly because of the waterfall, but it’s definitely not an easy hike.

This trail is not for the faint of heart! The first 1/3 of the trail is on an old logging road now covered in large pieces of crushed rock. Challenging with hiking boots - would not attempt with sneakers or sandals... Once off the road the trail is very enjoyable. There is one steep decline followed by a steep incline. The return trip more challenging but we were tired by then. Make sure the tide is out as inlet makes a beautiful beach to rest and eat at. I will do it again, but will aim for a cooler day

Not much of a “hike” but short and sweet and absolutely beautiful during the golden hour.

Hiked on a grey, Warm May 10 day There was fog on the water. Hike is actually 5.5km not 4.5 as shown in park maps Well defined trail, impossible to get lost There were a number of small streams with little waterfalls throughout the hike which was nice Much of the hike is through the woodsbut is interesting between the varied fauna and mixture of flat portions and sloped areas Trail in good condition The highlight is the shoreline vistas which are plentiful Enjoyable hike which I did with my little dog Joey Would do the hike again

Nice hike through woods and along river Did not ford river for final portion as being May 11 the river was knee deep I would expect water levels to lower as season progresses

Easy trail through woods At the end are extensive stairs decending into narrow valley with granite spires which is uncommon Would be a decent young family hike Brook at end is nice but ordinary

Short trail, mostly stairs and board walk. Lots of running water and nice falls. Lots of reward for little effort

Amazing trail! Well maintained by the Tantramar Outdoor Club and a great place to ski or snowshoe in the winter.

Fantastic walking trail. Well maintained and easy to follow.

Solid 4-5 hour hike. The end/half way point is a great spot to enjoy lunch. Good variety of hills and casual hiking. There and back is actually a bit more than 10kms opposed to the 9.5km the app suggests.

This trail was stunning! Would absolutely go back!

Currently abandoned by the town. Plans to revamp it though

Awesome potential but trails still too soggy and trail maps and markers a little disappointing. Would try again in May-Oct if in the area!

during winter time the gate was closed, at the start of the golf course. so this meant an extra 2km walk or so. great day on the trails, well worth the hike. I would suggest bringing cleats during winter time!

great view!! well worth it

Easy hike and pretty waterfall!

Great loop for running if you don't mind the incline.

A lovely loop, lots to see. It is off leash in the Owen lake/moose trax/long lake portion of the hike. Cherry Brook Zoo rd is on leash only.
