It’s a decent trail if you just want to stretch your legs for a bit and live in the area. There’s not much for shade so it can get pretty warm pretty quickly in the summer.

Quick, easy well marked trail. Perfect for small kids. Nice look out tower at the top and picnic table with historic plaque on Copernicus.

This easy trail around Gull Harbour goes through a wooded area, past the beach, and up a narrow spit of land to the lighthouse. Interpretive panels at the lighthouse describe the history of the site. There are fantastic views of the harbour and of the open lake, with lots of opportunities for bird viewing at the lagoon and along the trail.

It is not "near Benito"...it is on Thunderhill. This is a glitch by the All Trails site not the people who uploaded the info.

Needs tree clearly on the path many downed trees which made it more of a scramble then a hike in some areas. Also be prepared to walk through long grass as there is no packed ground, wood chips, or gravel. Over all the hiking trail just needed some TLC but a lot of fun! Very hilly so be prepared to be going downhill for half of it and uphill for the other half. Wife and I finished it in 51mins.

I wouldn’t rate this trail hard as I have done a lot harder trails that were rated less but I went June 8th and the trail was not managed at all. There were 2 massive trees that had fallen that required you to go deep off the trail to get around. That was also with the grass being almost 2ft tall on the trail.

Would have been more enjoyable if the trees that were impossible to climb over or under were cleared - this was also at the beginning of the trail.

good easy trail to ease the kids back into hiking. trails are well kept, and the play ground along the way was a lot of fun and a great place to stop for a picnic

Ah the Museum Trail! An absolute favorite, the trail is grassy so it's great in spring when it's wet, cool and shady in the summer, protected from winter winds, and so stunning in the fall. I'm my dog and I have trekked on this trail hundreds of times. There is a cross country snow shoe trail, a groomed cross country ski trail, and the added bonus of wandering around the museum grounds looking at all the old buildings. A beautiful setting and easy to access. If you take your dog (s), there are garbage bins and doggie bags for picking up poop, so PLEASE use them!! Keep our trails clean!

I have walked this trail many many times. It is one of my favourite places to go, especially with my dogs. It is so close to town, takes just minutes to get there, and yet it feels like you are 'out in nature".
One of the best things about Swan River!

Not too bad of a trail, don’t go during night time as you need to see the ground where your feet go.

Very easy, just a walk down a trail. Old bridge with a creek. Homestead is cool.
