This road can be a little rough with some rocks and a few large potholes. But if users stay off it when it’s wet the road is pretty good. I’ve got my minivan in there in the fall with no problems. Great walleye lake when their biting!

Very nice trail. The bridge was about half way - nice place to stop and enjoy the scenery. Good trail to get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors.

Nice trail close to the city for biking and hiking. Perfect way to get to Birds Hill Park (no traffic). My advice is bring lots of water and wear a hat / sunscreen during the summer months. Dress for the weather. Not much shade or shelter.

Best time of the day to do the East section of the trail is first thing in the morning. AWESOME sunrise views over the floodway.

Great trail for snowshoeing in the Ducks. Enjoy the short, yet steep trek to the top of Elk Hill.

Did this trail multiple times, once at night. If you want to do some stargazing this the place to go.

Great little trail, very beautiful in winter with fresh snowfall.

Decent hiking trail

Great winter trail!

Lovely easy trail!

A great trail to get you out to Bird's Hill park on your mountain bike

In winter with new fresh snow this trail is gorgeous!

I did the full loop in winter time. No mud, fresh snow. Enjoyed a lot the entire trail. There were moose footprints along the trail.

Nice clean trail, don’t like the return route on The Road so took the trail in reverse once getting to the road.

Easy trail for a 2-day hike, or loop can be completed in a day. Access to Jackfish Lake is not very good, and first cabin was full when we visited, so bring a tent if visiting on a weekend.

A nice mix of rooty terrain and rock shelves, access to the crisp river in multiple areas. Well marked.

Really cool hike. Bring lots of water.

I wouldn't rate it as easy due to numerous steep sand dunes and the length of it. I've done several easier hikes in the whiteshell that were rated moderate. Definitely worth seeing and an enjoyable day. Bring lots of water.

Excellent family hike with beautiful scenery. Rapids/waterfall with a spot to picnic including fire pits, picnic tables and a warming hut with wood stove for cold days. You have the option to do the 8km which includes a second loop or turn around and take it easy and finish the first loop. The way back from the first loop is pretty much a wide gravel path. If I were only doing the first part I would double back on the first half of the loop. The second loop is moderately more challenging with some elevation change but still pretty easy.

Beautiful setting, moderate amount of hills to keep it interesting. Glad I hiked spirit sands first, it was more challenging than the punch bowl.

Not too bad of a trail, don’t go during night time as you need to see the ground where your feet go.

Trail entrance is just past the "employees only" gate, took a minute to find, but well worth it

Nice. Paved.
