Great trail! Some areas were a little poorly marked but we made it in the end. Good mix of terrain. Trail map says it takes 3 hrs, at a good pace you can do it in under 2.

It is a great trail, but a little bit confusing trying to get to the falls from the marked area as the path seems to disappear. Bugs were out even though it was very hot, and some parts of the trail could be more difficult if you are not use to hiking with giant bolders and steep inclines. One of the best things was wild blueberries, they were delicious.

nice hike with moderate elevations along the river.

There's a bog right near the start that got the feet a little bit wet but they were mostly dry by the trails end. There's a nice little lookout at the end with a firepit that's a great place to have a lunch and fish from. Lost the trail at the end on the way back and had to hike through the bog.

would rate this trail closer to moderate rather than easy just because of the short but intense inclination in parts of the trail. I did this hike when it was raining all day for the entire hike. some of the views this hike offers are amazing as well as the information markers along the way. we had a bit of difficulty spotting some of the trail markers but it might just be because of the weather that day. love this hike!

Fantastic trail!

Went July 28th and the weather was perfect. Ate raspberries and Saskatoon berries along the trail. Very well marked and a lot of (minor) ups and downs. Just remember to wear bug spray!

Not that I was looking for water falls, but if you are this is not the trail.

Will absolutely do this trail again.

Fantastic trail with nice views down into the valley. A significant part of the trail is exposed to the sun so be prepared for that in a hot summer day.

lovely hike, very enjoyable.

Gorgeous, did about 9 kms (18 round trip) last summer. Not very well marked you'll have to sometimes search a bit for the guiding Inukshuks. Quite open so bring lots of water and sunscreen. Really lovely, hope to go back this year to check out the rest.

Nice trail! Well marked. Trailhead was easy to find.

Went with my puppy and my boy on the long route today. Great trail. My dog had trouble on the incline/declines just cuz he’s only got 3 legs and it still is pretty muddy out there, came home with some wet feet. I love this trail regardless though, perfect for anyone who wants a bit of a challenge but doesn’t want to spend a full day on a trail. Awesome views

A nice afternoon walk, shelter at the end on the lake with a fire pit to have lunch. The optional longer loop is a little muddy but not too bad.

Would rate for beginner, not moderate. Trail well marked, small amount of deadfall but still very manageable.

Fun and easy trail

We love this hike (myself and my husband and our daughter who rides in the backpack). I would consider this hike moderate, not easy. It’s one of our favourites.

Great little trail, very beautiful in winter with fresh snowfall.

Well marked Trail with nice views of the fish hatchery next door. Some swampy areas, but manageable.

This is not a biking trail like the five of diamonds over at falcon resort which is biking trails but requires a good downhill full suspension bike. You will kill yourself if you attempt the falls section on the southwest side along with the loop which goes around McGillivray Lake. The blue highway route is the section you want for mountain biking and is probably the best trail in Manitoba for intermediate mountain bikers. 1 star in 2017 because the falls washed out the trail and made it difficult to just hike, 5 stars for blue highway route though!

Very easy trail for the whole family. There were a few short inclines but nothing to serious. We found lots of blueberries along the trail as well as a few wild raspberries and even a strawberry.

great trail...though has been washed out at the start so some boulder climbing and navigation was required. But the wife and 4yr old son made the whole trail easily. Will definitely do again!

Clear path and markers, a little muddy in some of the lower parts. Great path along the river with some rock outcrops to stop and sit on. A couple steep parts to climb up and down, not too bad. We took our time with lots of breaks and finished in two hours, could easily be completed in 1.5 hrs.

This would be a 5 star review if the trail wasn't closed! I went yesterday and the hiking path has been completely wiped out. The walk ways and foot bridges have been wrecked by some weather conditions and so its not walkable. We followed the bike trail and it was ok but it didn't lead to the lake like we had driven out there for :( hopefully this path gets repaired soon!
