I did this trail walking was not very exciting if you were looking for a trail to bike or the jog in and out I would recommend this trail.

Took this trail from the bridge sign in the Nutimik lake campground area to Sturgeon Falls. Fairly easy trail - we had 7 kids with us including one in a backpack carrier and everyone managed the hike no problem. Lots of nice lookout points especially the bridge and the rocks by the falls.

This is a dog-dominated trail. Dogs are off-leash meters away from owners. There are many trails so dogs could be around the corner far from their owners. If you are not comfortable with dogs off-leash running around you, this is not a relaxing place to hike. I had a small dog on leash and huge dogs would run up to my dog almost trampling him. Not cool how owners do not follow on-leash signs. Disappointing hike.

Good trail but the only bad thing about it that there’s a lot of dog owners that have their dogs off leash which the park clearly says on their signs keep dog on leash.

It is not "near Benito"...it is on Thunderhill. This is a glitch by the All Trails site not the people who uploaded the info.

It was a nice scenic walk. I wouldn’t consider it a hike. I would consider this easy compared to others I have done.

Great place for a short hike. It's very beautiful as well.

The trail itself is really great, the signs can be a bit misleading though. There is high lake eco cabin signs that’s seem to be the direction to the trail as well. Without the map on this app I would have been lost pretty fast. I find the signs aren’t that helpful.

Once on the trail though it was for sure beautiful and would for sure do it again.

Excellent trail!

Excellent hiking trail in the summer and cross country ski trail in the winter! Will not disappoint!!

Such an awesome easy going trail to Kinosao Lake.

Very nice trail. The bridge was about half way - nice place to stop and enjoy the scenery. Good trail to get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors.

Well groomed for snowshoeing

Easy trail for a 2-day hike, or loop can be completed in a day. Access to Jackfish Lake is not very good, and first cabin was full when we visited, so bring a tent if visiting on a weekend.

Nice to hike into a wooded area but that's about it. Absolutely no el-gain. Not challenging. But will say ran across only nice friendly people.

This is one of the only (if not only) decent trail parks in the city for running dogs. Unfortunately a dog was recently killed here (August 2017) by another dog in the evening -- the best time to normally go to avoid heavy use. Weekends heavily used park generally. Most dogs are behaved and people generally quite friendly.

An absolutely beautiful place to just go and sit. Very scenic!

Trails were nicely groomed. Signage was good. Definitely an enjoyable experience.

Nice trail, will reward you halfway a beautiful scenery of Lake Kinosao and sometimes you just have to bring mosquito net during summer.

Nice park, lots of trails to pick and choose from. A good mix of wooded and grassy areas.
The trail is mostly dirt, and muddy in wet spots. Also there were a lot of dogs off leash in areas where they are supposed to be leashed (there is an off leash dog area within the park).

Great park! Some off leash areas for dogs buy everyone walks the whole park off leash, dogs love to swim in the pond. Very easy to get there!

Beautiful trail on the Canadian Shield. We saw a party of bluejays, many other birds as well. Views we gorgeous, trees have started changing to fall colours.

The trail was very well groomed. Firewood was well stocked and the cabins looked very nice. The water at cabin 4 was great though I would recommend taking something to flavour the water from cabins 2 and 3.

Access to Jackfish Lake would have been nice. Deadfall blocked the views and the area surrounding was very marshy. The short trails to the lake seemed not to be maintained despite great upkeep everywhere else.

This is part of the Transcanada Trail. The bridge is an important structural, linking feat for that. I did only a short part of this trail, found accidentally while visiting the Bannock Petraforms. Don't miss that.

Excellent place to take the dog for a walk within Winnipeg. Enjoy the scenery as your dog roams through the woods.
