Too many idiots with unleaded dogs.

The Brule Trail is a favourite of mine in Riding Mountain and is always a go-to hike when I am in the park.

The trail is a loop leading through the peaceful forest to Kinosao Lake. The trail is fairly easy and flat with no elevation gain or uphill sections. Right before reaching the lake, you cross a lovely boardwalk section of the trail, which makes for some beautiful photos.

Kinosao Lake is a gem. In the early morning, the water is so calm and the atmosphere is so serene. You can sometimes hear loons. There is always a canoe laying under a tree at the edge of the water by the dock with paddles and life jackets underneath it, for anyone to take out onto the water. I always love photographing the lake from the dock and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere among nature. There are also great views of the lake (and photo opportunities) right after crossing the boardwalk heading back on the trail, with a bench positioned along the water.

Would highly recommend hiking this trail, especially in the early morning when you will experience the tranquility at the lake. Gorgeous place!

Very easy to follow. Trail is nothing special but the view at the end is nice.

Great hike. Benches and Dock at the lake. Optional short route. Will do again.

We did this trail yesterday. Its an easy walk on what is largely a gravel road that runs from the falcon trail resort to high lake. An enjoyable walk that does have you in full sun for most of the hike.

A 4km loop trail with an option for a turnoff to do a shorter 2km loop. An enjoyable, easy trail for families with Kinasao lake as a scenic destination. Minimal undulation and drier than the nearby arrowhead trail. Approximately a 1 hour investment at a medium pace with young children.

A nice, easy hike to Sturgeon Falls. Lots of different mushrooms grow here in the late summer and you can sometimes see otters playing in the water.

For a longer hike, turn right after crossing the suspension bridge to go to Pine Point Rapids (8.7 km one way). Not much in terms of views as it's essentially a wide swath of access road through the forest, but you're likely to have it all to yourself. @jesiannoutdoors

good trail .. well marked
would do it again

we rode bikes along the trail. our 4 yr old had to walk the steep bits but otherwise a nice riding trail

A great trail for testing out a multi-day backpacking trip. Multiple cabins are spread out throughout the trail, firewood is available, water pumps (boil for drinking) and you also have outhouses. The Newfoundland Loop is about 12kms so to hike to Jackfish Lake in one day is a 20km hike. You get to hike along a ridge line and there is surprising elevation for being in the Spruce Woods area. Definitely worth checking out.

Nice level easy trail, wood bridge at the beginning a little sketchy but there’s lots places to stop and admire Lake Winnipeg

Pretty and pretty straightforward!

I did this trail walking was not very exciting if you were looking for a trail to bike or the jog in and out I would recommend this trail.

Took this trail from the bridge sign in the Nutimik lake campground area to Sturgeon Falls. Fairly easy trail - we had 7 kids with us including one in a backpack carrier and everyone managed the hike no problem. Lots of nice lookout points especially the bridge and the rocks by the falls.

This is a dog-dominated trail. Dogs are off-leash meters away from owners. There are many trails so dogs could be around the corner far from their owners. If you are not comfortable with dogs off-leash running around you, this is not a relaxing place to hike. I had a small dog on leash and huge dogs would run up to my dog almost trampling him. Not cool how owners do not follow on-leash signs. Disappointing hike.

Good trail but the only bad thing about it that there’s a lot of dog owners that have their dogs off leash which the park clearly says on their signs keep dog on leash.

It is not "near Benito"...it is on Thunderhill. This is a glitch by the All Trails site not the people who uploaded the info.

It was a nice scenic walk. I wouldn’t consider it a hike. I would consider this easy compared to others I have done.

Great place for a short hike. It's very beautiful as well.

The trail itself is really great, the signs can be a bit misleading though. There is high lake eco cabin signs that’s seem to be the direction to the trail as well. Without the map on this app I would have been lost pretty fast. I find the signs aren’t that helpful.

Once on the trail though it was for sure beautiful and would for sure do it again.

Excellent trail!

Excellent hiking trail in the summer and cross country ski trail in the winter! Will not disappoint!!

Such an awesome easy going trail to Kinosao Lake.

Very nice trail. The bridge was about half way - nice place to stop and enjoy the scenery. Good trail to get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors.

Well groomed for snowshoeing

Easy trail for a 2-day hike, or loop can be completed in a day. Access to Jackfish Lake is not very good, and first cabin was full when we visited, so bring a tent if visiting on a weekend.
