Great trail for a fall day. Interesting terrain, ups and downs over rocks and roots, well marked. On the first fork 10 minutes in, go right for the pretty trail; stay left if you prefer more of a road. Took about 45 minutes to first sets of rapids, an hour to add on loop which has 2 more waterfalls. So pretty! All done in under 3 hours. Great day hike from Winnipeg.

It’s a decent trail if you just want to stretch your legs for a bit and live in the area. There’s not much for shade so it can get pretty warm pretty quickly in the summer.

The entire perimeter of the loop is 1km so it helps you to track your distance. Beautiful park, paved path. Just a great scenic place for a walk anytime of the day in any season!

It was closed, and very grown over.

Very easy, but beautiful.

The north side trail is nice, easy and a bit shorter in comparison to the other trail which offers more of a scenic route since it goes along the river. Make sure you bring bug spray for this one.. especially for the loop by the rapids.

Its easy to find once on the high lake trail. An enjoyable trail with a very nice view especially in the fall when the leaves are turning.

We did this trail yesterday. Its an easy walk on what is largely a gravel road that runs from the falcon trail resort to high lake. An enjoyable walk that does have you in full sun for most of the hike.

really enjoyed this trail, the leaves in autumn are beautiful! dont go after a rainfall though, very flooded. enjoyable trail, feels more like hike, a little more rugged than the other trails.

more like a walk than a hike, but a nice scenic walk

A 4km loop trail with an option for a turnoff to do a shorter 2km loop. An enjoyable, easy trail for families with Kinasao lake as a scenic destination. Minimal undulation and drier than the nearby arrowhead trail. Approximately a 1 hour investment at a medium pace with young children.

Excellent trail, well marked with lots of options

Signage a bit difficult to find.....ended up going backwards

We were saddened by the lack of animals.

A nice, easy hike to Sturgeon Falls. Lots of different mushrooms grow here in the late summer and you can sometimes see otters playing in the water.

For a longer hike, turn right after crossing the suspension bridge to go to Pine Point Rapids (8.7 km one way). Not much in terms of views as it's essentially a wide swath of access road through the forest, but you're likely to have it all to yourself. @jesiannoutdoors

It's an easy hike through an area with great spiritual importance: the Anishinabe and other First Nations people believe that the petroforms were left for the benefit of all who would receive their teaching and healing. I am always grateful to have access to and be in this place - cloth, tobacco and other offerings are commonplace. @jesiannoutdoors

Go on a cool day and bring lots of water. The trail heats up pretty quickly as the day progresses.

The trail is technically still closed from the 2016 flooding. If you don’t mind getting a wee bit muddy at the start of the trail, you will be rewarded with a winding trail with changes in terrain and incline.

Easy trail that’s not too far from the city. I recommend combining this trail with others in the area for a decent day trip from Winnipeg.

Just a nice easy trail with lots of wildlife

I did this trail last year but some parts were inaccessible because there was too much water. This time, we could make it entirely.
It's a very great trail with beautiful scenery! I deduct one star because at one point, it's not well marked and instead of following the blue and pink ribbons near number 7, we went straight inside the bush and got lost... you need to take a turn ascending instead.

Personally prefer the aspen trail over the others as it is paved with wood chips and is very well shaded. All the trails are marked clearly. Definitely a must if you’d prefer to go for a walk within the city but want to feel closer to nature.

LOVE this trail! So scenic and nice and challenging!

Fun hike, sandy areas make the hike slightly challenging, grassy trails are nice and wide. The dunes and the punch bowl make for great scenery.

A bit aggressive pick for this ol’ flatlanders first hike, but proud of doing 9 kms.!

One of my favourites. I don’t agree with the rating of Easy as the trail is in a state of disarray, with many fallen trees over the very overgrown, poorly marked path. Navigating the bog without getting feet wet is always a highlight, as well as scaling the short granite walls. It’s no Hunt Lake, but if you don’t have the time for that trail, don’t pass up on the Bear.

Love this trail. Well marked, well groomed and just the right distance for a quick hike. It’s scenic with a few resting benches, can loop into Copernicus trail if you wish.
