I hiked this trail end of May. It is absolutely stunning and so much payoff for very little effort. You can scramble down to see all the crevices and there is a beautiful rocky beach to see the pristine clear blue water. Could spend all day here!

I hiked this trail solo end of May and it was incredible! At the time it was very overgrown and the trail had a lot of fallen trees. Given it was still very early in the season I was not surprised the trail wasn’t cleaned up yet. I only had some mosquitos and flies late in the evening but easy to deal with. No ticks at all. As many others have pointed out this is a 29KM trail, NOT 23KM. I camped at site #1 next to the helicopter landing zone. Beautiful area next to a small cliff and the best place for sunset views. Make sure to give yourself enough time to enjoy the falls, it is powerful and stunning and SO worth it! I encountered a mama bear and her cub right on trail near the grass river and philips lake fork area less than 40 m ahead of me on trail but didn’t have any issues scaring them away. Be bear smart and carry bear spray. There is no bear box so be ready to hang your food.

Challenging but fun. Seemed like a natural obstacle course at times. Trail was fairly straight forward and heavily trafficked. Nice little spot about half way you can take a swim at.

This trail is now temporarily closed, following a bear attack on a solo jogger and their dogs.

Well maintained. Saw plenty of deer, birds, and wild turkeys on the trail. Really beautiful when the sun is setting through the trees

July 10-13, 2020 Thought weather was ideal. Pack weights 31 lbs each. 50 yr old father with 23 yr old daughter hiked from North to South over 4 days. Overnighted in Ritchey Lake, Alice Lake and Caribou Lake (East). Alice Lake has neither bear box nor toilet but other two did. Two bear sights near Hemenway and Peggy Lake. In both cases bears moved away from us. We were wearing a set of bear bells each the entire hike. Ticks, mosquitos and hornets were a constant. Found head net very helpful. Mosquito repellant (lotion/cream) we found at MEC was excellent. Beautiful and would highly recommend but make no mistake, we are both in above average shape, this is a difficult trail not to be taken lightly. Enjoy!

More of exploring than hiking, but definitely worth it! There's lots of small crevices to go into and explore. There are a lot of bugs in the trail leading to the caves but once you're down in the caves, there's virtually none

Amazing cave-like fissures in giant rock slabs. Cool and mossy inside, botanical... explored for an hour. then jumped in the lake ... great with water shoes, rocky. Some bugs, but manageable with spray

I'm not sure how this trail is only estimated at 29 km on this app. To hike all the Epinette Creek trail loops, the distance is actually 41.7 km return. Did it for the second time but would avoid doing it in this heat because it was hard with mostly open spaces and lots of bugs. You have to make sure to fill up water at cabin 3 because there's no water access until cabin 4 and that's 12 km away from cabin 3. Beautiful hike that is nice to do in 2 days but not when it's super hot and the bugs are horrible. Most people stay at cabin 3 but it's great to hike all the way to cabin 4 where there's hardly anybody there. Didn't see much wildlife, except for deer but last year at cabin 4 we heard cayotes howling in the background, which was pretty cool.

Crazy mosquitoes! Had to go back and hike from the Assiniboine park towards Beaudry instead. 22 km hike this day!

This was an awesome 5.5 hour hike! Felt a bit like rock climbing at some places. Somehow took a wrong turn once and had to back track.

Nice little hike! Some parts the grass was really high and ticks are really bad right now! Also some muddy spots but easy to get around. A few paths you can go off to the beach. Went in the late afternoon around 4-5pm and we were the only ones there but there were people on the beach.
