My trip was around August 11th, 2018. I was told by locals it was abnormally warm there, which would be consistent with the fact it was near 110 degrees Fahrenheit in North Dakota. As for the trail it was very unique to say the least. Some areas could actually be described as a rainforest. Most of the trail was wet and muddy. Basic backpacking preparedness will help with your comfort. Some areas of the trail were overgrown but still manageable to navigate. One area was so thick it ripped my Garmin Etrex GPS off my belt without me knowing. I saw several bald eagles and lots of Bear scat. Didn’t see any bears. Trails are pretty “rooty” in areas. Excellent campground area if you make it to the falls. Mosquitoes were pretty heavy even by my Louisiana native standards. Hope to go back one day!

The Brady landfill sends a sweet aroma for the first half of the trail with a north wind. Other than that it's a great walk.

Very nice trail from Waterfront to Osborne. Can be messy during Spring time due to the melting snow.

BUGS! oh my there was lots! but the falls were beautiful! Overall hike was a great experience! Nice camp spot were we stopped near the rapids. Suggest to put this on your bucket list!

Loved the trail, group of us high school friends took a drive last minute to hike this trail. Great hike and had tons of fun having lunch near the falls!

Good easy cross-country ski trail

This has been my go to trail for walking with a stroller. It's paved making it perfect for getting out with your new baby or young children. Make sure to keep to the side as there are a lot of bikes that come through and with the curves and hills there is the potential for a collision. Most of the trail is within thick forest giving you an easy nature walk.

Very easy trail with beautiful scenary. Paths are wide open with some small inclines /declines.

we went skiing here, ski trails could be in better condition, still lovely though

This is a nice easy trail. Very pretty.

A little snow covered in places but still easy to follow.
Perfect for a sunrise winter hike

We walked this trail in the beginning of December and loved it. We went through the bush following the trail markers on the way out and returned on the wide trail path. The falls weren't frozen up and were beautiful in the winter sun

I use the trail lots because it's traffic free. It's very open so wind and sun can be a big factor. I have riden full 90 km and it is well worth it

Love this trail. I snowshoed around it today with my pups, it’s beautiful this time of year.

I am currently seeking brave-hearted courageous individuals who are up for snowshoeing the mantario trail

I'm going to start training January 1st doing smaller trails in and out of the city doing a few overnights to dial in my gear

must have a vehicle to park at the other Trailhead and all the gear knowledge and cajones to survive on the trail

this is not for the faint of heart serious inquiries only if this is something you are interested in send me an email and we can discuss more in person

This is a beautiful area and the falls are worth seeing, but the trail is quite difficult. Much of the trail is within trees so the only view is the bush. There is a campsite near the falls, and a high cliff with a good view of the river near the halfway point. The map says it’s a 22 km loop but my GPS recorded 30 km! Give yourself plenty of time! Be prepared for bears - lots of bear scat on the trail and we encountered a mother & cub.

Good winter trail

Nice trail for a winter walk. A few blue Jay's but not much else. Park has almost completed the new washrooms.

Beautiful, short hike. A little far from winnipeg but made a day of it and it was great. lots of beautiful scenery.

Amazing hike! Beautiful views, climbs and forested areas. Difficult but doable terrain (can be very slippery when wet!). My friend and I completed the hike in six hours (including an hour of photo taking and hanging out at the trail end). Only complaint is that it is poorly marked on the way out. We actually found a fellow hiker who had circled back by accident due to the poor markers. I would suggest using this app to keep track of your hike. But can't wait to do it again!

have taken the family and dogs many times. can be muddy and does get busy, but is always nice to go to for a quick getaway.

Such an impressive trail in Manitoba. Loved the rocky inclines that make you feel as if you're no longer in the prairies but the rockies!!

I love this trail. Period.

Great trail! Really challenging. Good snowshoe trail
