Went up today April 22 in crampons. Not busy at all, surprisingly for a beautiful Sunday afternoon. We had the peaks all to ourselves, saw a dozen people earlier in the trail and a couple people during the later parts of the trail. Gorgeous views, good workout but not super challenging, and very fun and safe slideable parts where I used a durable jacket as a sled.

Nice quick hike with a beautiful view point over looking Yale and the Fraser. I didn't see any caves while I was up there. Today it took me 45 minutes to get to the view point and 30 minutes to get down.

Easy hike and amazing views! We did it with my 4-year old, it was a slower pace but she did great!

It was a walk in the park.

Easy walk with multiple options for different loops and customized distance. Areas in the sun and shade. Parking is a bit limited. A bit busy with people on a sunny Sunday afternoon and some spots you can hear traffic noise.

great view

Be ready for mud and trail that is tough to follow at times. But fun to do and a good adventure!

Took my wife and 2.5yr old for a hike today. It was muddy, but super cute to watch my daughter climb over the exposed roots and climb up the boardwalks over the little streams. Very short hike with some of it on gravel path.

It’s a great trail but unlike the proposed route, it’s not actually possible to cross the suspension bridge from the west side. If you zoom into this proposed hike, you’d have to go off trail.

April 21. From first and furthest overflow parking lot to top and back to car in exactly 3 hours. Very rocky (dry river bed). Going up is ok, it’s like an easier and longer Grouse Grind. Coming down sucks as you have to really watch your step as to not fall on the lose rocks. The view up top is pretty, nothing special though in my opinion so wasn’t worth the climb for me. Usually don’t hike around Vancouver because too many people but not a lot of people were on this one so that was nice. Lots of snow up top still but had no problem in my hiking boots.

Nice afternoon hike. Great views

Great views from the top, can see Crofton, Chemainus, Ladysmith and even Nanaimo on a good day. The trail head on Collins Road makes for a tougher hike, than the Juniper trail head.

Fun, easy, lots of side trails

Really enjoyable trail, fairly steep in places with lots of loose gravel/rocks but the views at the top are totally worth it, you can see all the way into Victoria from the summit. The trail was well marked and easy to follow as well.

Awesome trail, definitely a climb but the view from the trestle was worth it. The Niagara waterfall was beautiful and easy to access before heading up to the trestle as well. The trail itself was interesting and required attention but wasn’t too physically demanding.

So beautiful! Did this trail in 6 nights, 7 days. Appropriate time for an average hiker. We did the trail end of September. It got a bit chilly at night but with layers it was fine.
Also did the trail starting from Port Refrenew. Highly recommend this, the trail is hardest to easiest. Might as well get the hard part over with!

Great workout but dont have high expectation for the waterfall. Can do the lynn loop instead if you want something shorter.

Went on April 17th, 2018. Not super busy (was overcast outside). Some very cool tree growths along the trail and nice scenery.

Very nice hike, long but not steep. Lots of cool wooden bridges and amazing dam in the one end of the loop. If you walk with small children, from half point it is possible to take s transit back or continue on the other side of the river. Overall it was 18 km and took 4 hours.

great day hike. Lots to explore off the main trail too

Once in a lifetime experience! Mainly because it takes so much planning and logistics to get out on this trail! But also because of the amazing isolation of the wilderness you're immersed in. Saw sea lions, seals, whales, and a bear. Hiking on the beach is magical. Tip: bring your own bear cans, as the bear lockers set up at each campsite get crammed with everyone's leftover food and were a little bit of a mess, I was glad I didn't have to store my food in a heap with everyone else's. When I was there, a small cardboard sign on the trail directed us out to the beach, where a native was cooking fresh caught fish and baked potatoes on a fire. Paid her $20 cash and she cooked us a meal right there. Lots of hidden gems like this to be had- so keep your eyes open!

i really enjoyed this walk. is easy and has some nice view points! is mostly under forest cover and then has spots where you can go out to the rocks, and walk along them if you want. nothing strenuous, pretty flat walk. the park at the start is also lovely with some spots to BBQ and a walkway out to the water.

nice walk! as some have mentioned there are some moderate moments with hills etc, but generally is a great walk - really enjoyed it. is mostly through the forest and then you come out to a clearing. the view at the end is nice, as is the little beach area to sit and enjoy the view or have a picnic. is fairly busy with a few dogs but it didn't feel crowded. would do again!
