Read Clare M's review, I screenshot it to use as a guide.

I did the loop and started on the east side (not marked well) I got lost a few times and had to backtrack. It was worth it to see the waterfall from both sides though.

Once I reached the West side it was much easier.

I probably took longer than most people with getting lost and taking my time.

Stick to the West side

A relatively relaxed trail that winds up through lower hollyburn into cypress over the course of 4 hours. The entrance is a bit hard to find and ended up walking up a mountain bike track instead. Regardless, there are enough trails to find your way back. Got little bit confused when passing onto private property but encountered no issues. Solid hike for a hot day with plenty of lakes and shaded for most of the way. One warning; Millstream trail is technically closed due to a landslide but there is a makeshift trail over the washed out area.

Easy “hike” with many viewpoints...almost too easy for all the amazing lookouts you are rewarded with!

Probably my favourite park around Vancouver. Here you get to enjoy both the majestic west coast forest in its original state and beautiful ocean vistas. Highly recommended,

The hike was basically a 15 min walk, so if you are expecting to hike for a good hour or two, this is not the one for you.The view is very pretty though.

Wear hikers over runners... terrian on the Shore Pine trail is rocky... the beacon lane trail is a simple 10 min walk from parking to the lighthouse lookout

One of the best hikes we have done so far this year. The trail is not super defined so follow the orange markers. The falls was amazing. Definitely keeping this one on the short list of hikes

Great relaxing hike. Multiple view points of the ocean. I went early around 9am so the parking was not so bad. However as I was leaving around noon, there were no spots available.

Really nice short hike and great for dog walking.
When you start from the parking lot the trail it is very easy and clear. You will come to a point where you can continue slightly left along the trail (West side of the river which is the route shown on this site) or cross a wooden bridge. If you stay on the path and do not cross the bridge it will be easy to follow orange markers. The trail remains wide and quite easy, it likely will take an hour or so to complete out and back style.

This is where people get confused:
If you cross the bridge and take the East side of the river there are markers for a short distance to a fork and then the trail gets much more difficult and is not well marked. If you go right at this fork you will meet up with a rocky path that resembles a creek. This will head up to a fence with a gate and connect to the service road in only a couple of minutes. If you head left at the fork you will parallel the river on a slippery (most of the year) and narrow trail. This is the trail some commenters refer to as being sketchy and on the edge of a cliff. It is more difficult than the West of the river trail, and I would watch little ones on this trail. This is also the route that leads you to the old car wreck. Shortly after the car wreck you reach the service road and a large, wooden bridge. You can do the trail as a loop, connecting the West and East trails with the service road.

This is a very pretty and green trail; however it needs better signage and a trail map, as I think most people assume they should cross the wooden bridge near the start of the trail leading to confusion!

Not my favourite but pretty and easy to wander.

Beautiful views at Vancouver, if you are lucky, you can see dolphins or seals too.

Lots of different trails to choose from. I did the west side of the park, lots of great view points. Can't wait to explore the east side! Definitely on the easier side of hikes, but still very rewarding.

We hiked this trail on May after a snowy winter - the waterfall was thunderous and beautiful and the fact that it was raining only added to the experience. A lush, fantastical rainforest wonderland! Loved every minute. There are no Trail markers so either bring a map or don't stray too far from the river as it will guide you back to the trailhead.

Cool trail, not long or difficult. Interesting to see some of the old memorabilia they have in the park. The lighthouse itself is inaccessible by way of fence but the surrounding view are very pretty with the coastlines and open ocean.
