For avid and fit hikers looking for the next challenge, this scramble delivers a full experience: beautiful terrain, glacier fed water features, scree and rock fall travel, snow and glacier climb and decsent, rope work for down-climbs, manageable chimney climbs, and some exposure. The "pink slab" crux tests your commitment and resolve at the begining of the final ascent. It looks worse than it actually is...my advice is just start the climb and the hand and footholds emerge. Note: I chose to rappel down the steep chimney near the top and the pink slab, but saw a few people down climb without difficulty. Ice axe and crampons were very useful but not essential and I wished I brought hiking poles. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Pretty easy hike, don’t let the reviews or the you tube video psych you out. This time of the year the glacier and the snow field was very easy to get across, and the famous “pink slab” well that itself is a tiny little section that everyone in our group of 6 found it a walk in the park. Everything after the slab was a gorgeous scramble with nothing over class 4 scramble in my opinion. Totally worth it, highly recommend it

Great hike with, for users from the UK, two short sections of solid grade 2 scrambles. We used ice axe and crampons on the steep snow and rapelled from the belay rings. 8.5 hours gondala to gondala. Take bug spray, lots of mossies between forest and glacier!

A great variety of terrain for an out-of-towner, this hike checks off the list with beautiful cedar forest, high meadows, scree fields, and snow crossings. The mid summer melt offered beautiful waterfall views adjacent to the trail. Moderate hike (my companion is not a regular hiker though in otherwise good physical shape, she managed it great with some encouraging words). Microspikes and axe were a good peace of mind. We packed ropes but didn’t bother to attempt the slab as we approached the summit in rain and dense cloud.

Very technical scramble for experienced backcountry travelers only. Best accessed from Sea to Sky Gondola. Be aware of snow in mid-season so you don’t post hole. Helmets recommended. Give yourself lots of time. Amazing views.

Best ever! What a mountain. Pink Slab is 4th class imo. The remaining scrambles are 3rd class with maybe the occasional 4th class single move required. Just take your time, place your feet well and trust your feet. Wonderful mountain experience today!
