Take lots of water with you

Really great hike with an intense uphill, but definitely worth it for the views at the top! Trail can get super busy as it is very popular, and definitely worth going to the 2nd peak since the top has a lot more room for groups to have their own space to rest and have lunch. Definitely need to be in shape to do this hike especially since at the top you need to pull yourself up using a chain on the rocks.

I did peak 2 & 3. The stairs at the beginning were pretty exhausting for me as I just started going on hikes, but after that it went well. The view is amazing!! The way down was hard on my knees and ankles and I was sore for two days, but I would definitely do it again!
Great hike

Very difficulty uphill climb. The trail starts with wooden stairs and then becomes more of a scramble with rock stairs and finally chains and ladders. Worth the view!!!! Absolutely spectacular!

views were amazing and the trail is really well maintained.

Second peak has the best views according to most, I am inclined to agree but it’s entirely subjective. Try all three, all pretty spectacular

This is an amazing hike in the backcountry, however, the gravel road towards the trailhead is extreme rocky and uneven. We rented a 4WD Jeep and still were afraid to go further than the 14th marker. The final 3(?) km to the trailhead we continued to walk. Some passing by cars offered to take us with them and seriously the conditions of the road got worse. I would have been to afraid to get a flat tire though. But other than that, the hike offers a variety of “underground“ conditions - from, woods and mud to gravel and rocks. We did the hike yesterday and even went for a quick jump into the lake. Nevertheless, parts of the lake are still frozen. If only hiking there for a day trip, bear in mind that the time getting to the trailhead takes an extra hour!

Awesome hike. Just the right amount of steep sections and plateaus. Still a bit muddy in sections, but those kind of add fun to it. Snow still at the top, so wear layers. All wheel drive and a vehicle with a fair bit of clearance is ideal as the forest service road has a few washouts and bumpy bits.

I want to do this hike this weekend and I’m wondering how difficult it is to get to the trailhead?

My vehicle is all wheel drive but doesn’t have a lot of extra clearance. I’m in an Audi Q3. Does anyone know how it looks exactly?

The best hike. Kids and dog like it too. Took gondola down , pay 15$ for adults and dog. So worth of money than knee pain.

Great hike, well marked, food and drinks at the top, epic views and a ride back down...no excuse to miss leg day.

Great little hike - loads of tourists but easy for family or quick stop off en route to Whistler!

Great trail. Went in March very rainy and wet, and snow at top

Did all 3 peaks and WOW are my legs mad at me. Got up and was at the trail head by 6am... no one was there (except for campers). My husband and I are in moderate shape and found the hike to be a heck of a challenge but doable. The hike to peak 1 was a good elevation gain with ladders and chains spicing it up. The view was insane. The hike to peak 2 wasn’t as tough. We forged on to peak 3 and should have stopped at 2. Peak 3 wasn’t well marked and the view paled in comparison to 1 or 2. The decent from peak 3 was a knee knocker. Lots lots lots of bouldering and not enjoyable. Took us 5hr 20min to do all 3.
When we do it again we will just to peaks 1&2. Great hike worth the effort!

Loved it! Lots of stairs but so peaceful within the trees. I did peak 1 and 2. I’m a fairly fast hiker and took me about 2.5 hrs which included photos and snack breaks at the tops

Excellent short and sweet hike
Go early to avoid crowds

Really nice 45 min- 1 hour hike.

Great view !

very nice hike, but getting to the trail head was a real challenge. extremely rough road once you enter the unpaved section .

Great for beginners! Nice lookout spots.

Great challenging hike! We did the reverse order, starting with third peak, second and then first peak. I liked this order because it broke up the vertical trecking nicely.

Would not recommend if you're nervous with heights, there are some areas where you have to climb up some very steep areas with the assistance of chains and ladders.

Challenging but well worth it! Hiked straight to 2nd peak and the views were unreal! Took roughly 4-5 hours round trip. We started from Shannon Falls and you can follow the trail from there to The Chief, knocks off 2 things in one hike. Cannot recommend this hike enough if your in Squamish or passing through!

Very beautiful lake surrounded by beautiful mountain range. The trail itself is very well maintained. Last section before reaching the lake can be quite muddy, slippery and steep.

Awesome hiking. Pretty difficult and not for a beginner. Make sure to know what you're getting yourself into. But the view is amazing once on the top. Trail got pretty busy when we were coming down. Recommend early morning hiking.

amazing views, challenging trail, less crowded than most local trails. trail is 7.5km one way and would be a challenge going down so the tram down is worth the $15. dogs could do the trail but keep them on a leash, especially near the falls. sadly a sign to leash your dog had to be made because an owner didn't have common sense. dogs are not allowed near the Cafe building either.

Well marked, surprisingly busy hike and a very good workout. Took us just under3 hrs with a couple stops. 7.5 km one way. Took the gondola down.

I preface this by saying I’m not a terribly experienced hiker, yet a former marathoner that is still in above average shape. The ascent to peak one (1.5 miles to the top) was just over 2,000 feet according to my Garmin. Very steep in the beginning, a little less in the middle, then more steepness and technical toward the top. Took three hours round trip with multiple breaks on the way up. Having said all I that, l loved every step of the experience! Gorgeous views at the peak. Do it!

Great hike! Very well marked, and definitely not a boring hike! You get great views and close to Shannon falls, hike under the gondola at some points. There are short rock faces where there are ropes to assist. Quite steep but parts where it evens out.
We are relatively fit and it took us exactly 3hrs one way up. Best part is there is ice cream up at the top of the gondola! And an awesome view obviously :)

Did peaks 1 and 2 today. Loads of stairs at the start and then a reasonable to steep incline for the remainder of both trails. Some ladders and chains are required to make the summit for both trails. Great viewpoints from both peaks but if you only have time for one, peak 2 offers better views. For reference, it took us about 3 hours to do both peaks which included a short break for lunch.
