Nice hike, two ways up. Red gate is a fairly easy to moderate double wide trail. The Yellow gate is 1/2km further down Strathcona heights near the end of the road. The Yellow gate is a steep moderate double trail at first then turns into a single trail from the radio tower. The single trail is steep and hard to find at times but amazing views of Shawnigan Lake looking West. Imagine sunsets up there on a clear day are pretty amazing.

It’s worth every step! Really steep trail but the views are awesome!

Great hike, but steep and Rocky. Swing is the best part with great photos. Takes about 30-40 mins, park down by yellow gate.

Definitely steep but beautiful and short. Be sure to stay on the path though because there are parts that don’t get a lot of sun and the moss can be slippery if you veer off. Views are worth the hike!!

Short but steep with an amazing view at the end.

Very picturesque and well marked. Hike to the bottom to look up at the trestle

Not well marked there are two ways up apparently the first is supposed to be easier. Did not find it the one at the end of the road is harder I would probably classify it as a medium trail the climb is well worth it.

loved this trail! steep incline, no shade, but it was short, took us about 30 minutes to the top. keep going up and far left, the swing is hidden in the trees! amazing view! worth every step

Great for walking or long walks parts of it could be more hiking, biking,

Just walked the trail today with my boyfriend, his friend, and my step son. love that its family friendly. :)

Nice easy trail to the Tressel. Parking can get tricky as there are a lot of people who visit here.

Nice easy hike. Very steep but only 45 minutes to top for some great views.

This for sure was not an easy trail. Very steep to get up to the swing. Hiked on a hot dry day but fell a couple times coming down, lose gravel on the road. Not the best view from the swing, go to the top of the mountain instead of turning right to the trail and there is a better view.

Nice walk to the trestle and wide easy paths down to view the river and amazing photos of the trestle.
