Super gorgeous views! Very muddy and somewhat crowded but still worthwhile

Beautiful hike with lots of vegetation. Did this today, we did the Othello tunnels first then walked along the rail bed until we found this trailhead, quite steep sections so I definitely agree with other reviews about it should be rated as moderate, coming down the end of the trail back to the parking lot, I was glad we did it “backwards” as the end part seemed a lot steeper than coming up the back end of it. Depends if you want to start or end your trip with the tunnels/tourists.

Nice little trail to stretch your legs. The falls are totally worth the pit stop.

Little hike with a big payoff. A picturesque autumn walk to the falls, which did not disappoint. There are several nice lookouts along the way that made for great photos. Use caution with animals and kids: some lookouts have sharp drop offs, and of course be careful at the falls. The trail would be fine for dogs on leash. Overall, I’d highly recommend.

Finally I got my chance to do this hike and got it off my bucket list. As mentioned in the other posts, the second and third quarters are steeper. Hardly any flat spots in general. The drizzle and moisture in the air added to the challenge. Stay hydrated and be prepared to sweat.

Nice and east hike. The falls were very beautiful. Recommend

Trail closed! Trees unstable due to wildfire.

how they do that

This is definitely a touristy thing to do. It costs around $50 per person. I also wouldn't call it a trail. There is wooden pathways through the forest, some go up into the trees and others go along the forest floor. I didn't have an issue with crowds at I went on a Thursday morning. Grabbed a bus from Vancouver and it dropped us off couple minutes away. The bridge was pretty cool. It is a long suspension bridge. Having done it, I wouldn't feel the need to do it again, but if you can get there during a weekday, it's a pretty neat thing to see.

Very easy. It does have rough terrain and it can be muddy in the fall/winter/spring. Gorgeous views!

Extremely beautiful but you don’t really need to hike to see the view. If you take the trail, you can escape the crowds.

Such a beautiful and ultimately thrilling trail. Be sure to see the waterfall on the lower trail before you climb up to the trestle.

Great trail. Some sections of the old trail still accessible and highly recommended.

It is short and breathtaking hiking, quick and useful.ido three times week and really like it.

Gorgeous trail and lakes, but SO CROWDED. Even on a Tuesday in mid September.

I loved the experience

This trail was ok, we went up on a cloudy day so it didn’t offer much. We can imagine that perhaps they payoff would be better on a clear day with better views. Fairly busy trail, very steep at the top section.

The hike was fairly mellow until the last 1km where it got decently steep. The memorial plaque was around 1h 10 min up the trail and then another 1hr to the top of the hike with the Propeller of the plain crash. It was cool to see the memorial but I was disappointed that you can’t hike to the top of the peak.
It took 2hr 10min up and 1hr 20min down at a fast walking pace.

An absolute must on the hiker's to do list. Highly recommend to spend extra nights at Berg lake campsite to explore extension hikes, especially the stunning snowbird pass trail alongside the Robson glacier and Alpine Meadows.

What a beautiful trek ! Steep all the long way with some relaxing meters flat.
The view at the top is amazing !
I made it running and walking in 3h30.
Good memories

More a really engaging and fun workout than a chance to view the scenery. I did it the first time and liked it so much I went up two days later again. As everyone else, I recommend making sure you can be there at the least busy times, because the constant navigation of passing is the only serious downside that makes me want to abandon it for the nearby bcmc trail. Also you can hike down the bcmc when you’re done rather than pay for the gondola and that’s a beautiful hike too!

Such an amazing hike. From tip to tail it is amazing!!!

Peaceful yet social

Nice trail. Some great views. Not too much elevation gain so perfect for beginners.

The trail was steep, wet, and slippery all the way thru .. So use precaution!

Great hike, not really that easy. Loved the lake itself with crystal clear blue water and jumping rainbow trout. Grizzlies in the area, one was seen the day prior to our arrival.

beautiful but a little steep. no swimming at the bottom of the falls.

Visited this on a whim. It's a very short couple minute walk up an incline to the platform and small suspension bridge over the waterfall. The waterfall cascades about 30m into a emerald pool. Its pretty. It's also a very busy place.

Parking lot has pit toilets and a picnic area.

The alltrails map shows a couple other trails that look to go up river a bit. I may revisit to check that out in the future.

Nicely groomed, nice woods and river. I guess it’s meant for locals as no obvious signage to the parking area from the road. No signage for how the loop went and we had to guess a bit to get back to our car.
