Nice little easy hike with hardly anyone else on the trail. The waterfall is beautiful but there were a ton of bugs.

Great little hike with great view of the falls at the end. Careful with kids near the falls

Great hike. I go at least once a year. Be careful with kids and dogs. No fences/railings at the drop offs.

This, short hike, is a great one for anyone looking to take in some Kootenay's mountain vistas and a beautiful river and falls with a short time investment.
Proper shoes and bug spray are a must!

Very lovely waterfall at the end and view just before that. Very buggy when we went, so recommend spraying and covering up well. Not a ton of bird activity on this hike in particular, but there are two great spots very close: 1) Westside Rd on the way to/from Spillimacheen and 2) the section of Brisco Rd that crosses the Columbia National Wildlife Area to the south.

Last week of March trail was very slippery, even with slip on ice spikes!
Trail was fairly simple but not well marked towards the end to the cliffs above the fall.
Falls still iced over but breaking through with some water flow at the bottom.
Would be beautiful in the summer!

The falls are pretty. Short hike in for the great view. Trail itself isn't that exciting but nice fall colours through the forest. Overall... Good hike with dogs.

Great trail for all ages. Cliff tops at the top of the trail may be dangerous for younger children, as they are very steep. TAKE BUG SPRAY!! Huge amount of mosquitoes throughout entire trail today.

A gorgeous hike to a beautiful falls. The day we did it you had a massive spray rainbow that could be seen for miles. A fair bit of temperature change due to the glacial nature of the water - nature's air conditioning which was very pleasant as the day we hiked was 36 degrees C. At the cooler elevations the mosquitoes were very bad - you must have bug spray. Be careful with children as the trail in some points has precipitous cliffs that would end in certain death.

Spectacularly rewarding! The falls at the end, more than made up for the mosquitoes!
