HikingGreat!

Fabulous. Definitely hard, especially the last kilometre and a half to the summit. Exposed scramble the last .5 km. 22km round trip from highway to the summit, 6 hours alone at a good pace. Amazing views of Jewel Lake and across to Mt Arrrowsmith and Georgia Strait. Trail is a little messed up from windfall just before the Old Ski Hill Rd. but just keep an eye out for the pink ribbon, many people take the Ski Hill road, but I prefer the trail.

at first the trail didnt look like much but it soon changed to beautiful forest with massive boulders strewn with moss near the end.

Hiked the steep trail to the tower on Wesley Ridge. All of the fallen trees have been cleared off the trail now. Blue bird day with great views at the top, we could clearly see Mt. Baker in Washington. Will be back another day to complete the whole ridge traverse.

RunningGreat!

Sept. 1st 2020. Cokely Summit. West loop up, east loop down. Trail time 5hr20min. Trail is in great condition. Clear beautiful day all around. Comfortable in the trees, hot out on the rocks. Even had Search and rescue fly over. This is a good grind (#last section). I highly recommend it.

This was a hike that reminded us to enjoy the journey as the summit provides no views. The hike was 7 hours for us including breaks. Would recommend eating lunch on the ridge - we waited for the summit - not worth it. There is an ATV trail you will eventually end up on. Make sure to always follow the Alltrails route as we had to bush-whack up a cliff to reconnect as we assumed the ATV trail was the right route. There are a few great views and some tree fall to deal with. The initial part of the hike is steep. Most of the rest is flat with some slight ups and downs. There were tons of berries to pick along the route.

Although the description states (Private Property), this is no longer the case. The Private part of the trail that was, has been diverted and there is now a sign stating which way the public can travel. The trail is easy to follow, although there is one small bit of slippery when wet slope.

Ok.. that was a grind! I would have given it 3/5 but the views were amazing!! So it gets a 4. I started on Quallicum side. First 40 min straight up. Spectacular view.. then the long grind. Lots of fallen trees along the path. Poorly marked in some areas and lightly tread (like a game trail). My gps looked like a child’s drawing in some points as I was off route. Mountain view made everything better. WOW! The descend was tough. Lots of ropes to assist. Dry light scramble. Fresh bear scat in the area dense with ferns and salmon berry. All n all.. a stunning hike and comes with bragging rights. Took me 9 hours total with rest periods at view points. I have a total of 1 km that I was off course (12.65km) and I am an avid “difficult” hiker.

amazing hike. took us 5hrs30mins with stops at the view points. trails are all well marked. coming down the end of it by the trail for Mt Horn get gnarly. lots of ropes to help you down. just take it slow and easy. no where to park a second car at Cathedral Grove as its all blocked off. have a back up for someone who lives in the area to.pick you up and take you back to train track starting points.

Completed this one on July 25th. Very challenging, very rewarding views. Don’t focus so much in the AllTrails trail, what I assume is due to the wind storm a few years ago you will be “off trail” quite regularly. Instead just follow the path and look for the pink/orange ribbons- it is very well marked!

Challenging hike but the views are amazing. The CPR Trail (West Loop) is much more appealing as you hike along the creek. The last push up Mount Cokely is a beast, but it's worth it for an unreal view of Mount Arrowsmith and Jewel Lake.

I did a 16km trip out and back in this one. But I don’t think the trail is marked correctly. I took what was posted on the trail head at a fork the sign read CPR trail but it wasn’t on the AllTrails map? It actually led me off in a different direction. So I doh led back on the east loop and that kept me on the alltrails map. Just an observation. Enjoyed the hill climb and the scenery though! Nice spot by the bridge to soak your feet or rinse off!

We did this hike a few years ago. Quite steep right off the bat, but great views of Cameron Lake near the memorial benches. It was quite smoky from the wildfires at that time, so not much for views after that, but we enjoyed the trail overall. We didn’t quite finish as it as getting late and thought we had better head back. We had to be careful on the decline at the end due to loose sand and rock but went fine overall.

this is clearly marked as private property no trespassing, so why have it on here?

The trail is a bit overgrown with ferns in some spots but relatively simple to get down to the waterfalls. The actual triple Falls is a right turn on the first fork (West I think). The other bit is just the river which I think people must go to for a swim but no falls.
