Easy family trail, lots of access to the creek.

Nice trail. We took the east west connector (bridge) and came back on the Golden Ears / West Canyon trail. West Canyon is much more challenging than the East and we ended up in the West Canyon parking lot. The walk back to our car along the gravel road was super dusty and awful. I think it might have worked to take a right on the Menzies trail instead of going all the way down to the West Canyon parking lot as we saw the trailhead near our parking lot.

It's basically just a walk, not much strenuous hiking involved, but some of the views are amazing, especially on clear days. Also very crowded with people and their dogs or small children, so I'd suggest going in the morning.

nice short hike with some incline. Great for kids and beginners.

trail has snow in areas but accessible now. no snow on scramble leading up to final summit approach. crampons optional. love this trail. best hike in area for 4 hours total.

Really lovely trail, not difficult at all but a long enough walk to warrant the drive. The scenery was beautiful, not just the mountain views but the trail itself was just a perfect depiction of west coast wilderness

Took my wife and 2.5yr old for a hike today. It was muddy, but super cute to watch my daughter climb over the exposed roots and climb up the boardwalks over the little streams. Very short hike with some of it on gravel path.

Only nice part is the fact its short. Had one view of the lake for 5 min. It was pretty ugly. Would not go again.

Nice hike on a sunny winter's day. Be sure to cover the low falls trail on your way back. Nice views of snowy mountains on clear days.

I didn’t get to check out the whole trail but I liked what I saw. Brought my toddler and preggo wife and they did ok. The toilet up next to the falls was pretty nasty...I’d sooner do as the bears do.

love this hiking with my pup, it would be amazing to have a bridge in front of the falls to enjoy more the view.

Good for kids, even little ones. Took my 6 and 3 year olds and they enjoyed it.

Great trail, took me and my dog 1 hour round trip. Awesome for a little trail running. There is a little elevation which gets the heart going a bit.

Great trail to take my puppy on. Lots of things for her to see and smell and a good amount of people and other dogs to say hi too. Trail was nice and well kept. Slightly confusing as there were a number of different trails but it's easy to find your way around.

Did this trail 1/13. Going to write a brief description how to get there because I got lost my first attempt. Start at the west canyon trail parking lot. once you enter the start of the trail walk for about 5 minutes and you'll see the sign for viewpoint trail on the left, this is the trail you want to get on. you'll go up a series of switchbacks past a waterfall. the trail will get flat and you'll have to cross across the upper part of the waterfall. Warning this section can get hard to cross if its been raining. you'll then keep walking and see a sign for Evans peak on your right. This is the start of this trail and it is VERY difficult. it will be a straight up climb and you'll pass over a lot of loose rock and soil. make sure you have the next marker in sight before moving on as some of them were hard to spot (mainly Orange, pink and some yellow markers). You'll pass a second waterfall halfway up this point then reach a flat plateau with a beautiful view of a third waterfall. there is snow after this point as of right now. overall very rewarding hike but be prepared as the decent back down is very difficult because of the steep incline and your legs will feel like jello. good hiking!

Gorgeous and easy hike, big reward for minimal effort

Wife and I did it with a 2.5 year old today. Awesome little hike. some delapitaded boardwalks but that just added to the hike. glad to see it hasn't gotten the "4 foot wide gravel upgrade" I've heard of so many other trails going.
Son really liked it. lots of mushrooms and tree fungus to check out. old growth stumps galore. lots of exposed root scrambles. good hike all around. took us 2 hours of slow meandering stop and looking.

The map was a little confusing as there were many different paths that you can take but it was very beautiful. Definitely can’t take a stroller here as there are many stairs and barriers (to stop the horses from going on certain trails). There is a lot of dog poop on the trail and I had to steer the little ones away from it constantly. The creek is picturesque but the same experience can be found in many areas in the lower mainland. If you are nearby it’s worth it but I wouldn’t make a special trip.

Beautiful hike, or better said a nice walk trough the forest...amazing views and was extremely nice right after the rain fall when the forest it's at its finest!

Easy little trek around a small lake. Only a few people there when we went on a Saturday morning in October, but it is apparently busy in the summer. The roots all over the trail are incredible! We've nicknamed this one "Groot Trail". Not suitable for strollers/bikes/wheels.

Steep but well marked and maintained trail. Rewarding view at the end. A couple minor scrambles to get to the final knob.

Relentless climb and very technical, but great views at the top. No water on course, make sure you have enough.

Fun times! Wish the lake was more visible tho.
