Steep trail. Views were gorgeous. Some ankle twisting rocky terrain towards the bottom but if your walking it’s fine. Just watch the footing if your running the trail.

It was a nice, fairly easy hike but the trail gets to a point where it’s too overgrown to find so we had to take the maintenance trail back

Very interesting hike with an amazing view! There’s lots of little animals in the rocky area and many wildflowers along the way as well

Beautiful hike , fairly steep up. Took us 30 mins to the first peak and the 45 up to the top from there. Be prepared however for any weather as it was sunny when we left and hailing at the Alpine during July. Highly recommend though!!
Also , very dog friendly !

Up to the lake it took us 45 mins and then 30 mins back down. The weather turned really quickly at the top so I would be prepared for anything. Also , the lake was still frozen over in the first week of July for us. Great overall hike though, not too challenging because it’s mostly uphill and not too long!

Beautiful views. We went counter clockwise from the lodge and climbed to the summit they have cleared the blow down and the trail is entirely passable. Coming down along the fire road was not as much fun as walking through the Bush. Some bear scat around but didn’t see any of the furry varmints.

Loved it!

Rewarding hike! Great view at the top.

Tons of winterfall that has yet to be cleared. After the first bench at the top of the first set of switchbacks it is impassable. Trail crews were starting clean up on the lower trails when I was leaving. Great scenery. Make sure to have bear gear as there was several piles of fresh scat.

Steady, strenuous climb to the top of Baldy, but well worth it.

This is a beautiful trail. Somewhat busy on the weekend and about a 25 minute drive from downtown Fernie.
My 2.5 year old son was able to walk most of it on his own.

Hiked in and camped a night at Thunder Meadows in August. It's a steep climb up, that gets a little loose. The cabin is well equipped.

Will definitely tour back here in winter time for some backcountry pow laps.

Steep climb, took us an hour and half with camping gear to get to the lake, and 45min back down. WHilst the lake isn't the nicest, is a great short hike. Reckon it'll be great to do when the wildflowers are out in July.

Pretty cool to see sections of the Old Growth Forest along the way, and has a stunning view of Fernie through a tree opening.

Beautiful once you get to the top but it's a steep climb and decent. Took us five hours return to do this hike.
